How would that work with being a LI and all?

"Thanks for the help Shep, good luck with the whole reaper thing! *kiss on the cheek* runs off....

I hope not :(

Well it was indicated that some of the (new) LIs wouldn't necessarily be squaddies. I imagine that the existing LIs wouldn't have to be in your squad in order for the romance to progress.

This all has me insanely curious as to how they're going to handle the squad...

Ah, I see.

Then maybe a reunion scene of sorts towards the end. I guess I could deal with that. Not a lot of screen time but I could see them doing something like that.

No, LI will have a bigger role in ME3.
Like I said, she won't have the same role than Legion for example, who can be the leader of the geth fleet and provide support on the batlefield like we saw in one of the demo.

I think her LI status (romanced) can allow us to recruit her definitely.

Coming out of Lurk mode.

I'm an optimist. I believe Miranda will be back and be pretty integral to the story as far as Cerberus/LI stuff. I mean she was a big wig Cerberus operative and your XO. Mordin, Thane, Jack ect. don't have resume like that. She'll be back, but I understand the worry. Just don't freak yourselves out too much especially so far from release.

No one ever listens though!

Indeed. The almost ever present 'doom & gloom' is seriously damaging my calm. What part of "We can't tell you about Miranda because that would be a serious spoiler" don't people get?:pinched:<_<

Why not just say "Characters who are Shepard's love interest in previous games are guaranteed as squad members". Please let me enjoy E3. Damn you Bioware, damn you!!!

Not me, I want the romance to be developped during the game. I don't want a simple scene at the end of the game.
I need many conversations, to learn more things about her, and to have a real character development.

If before ME2 came out someone had said, "Liara is on Illium, hunting for the Shadow Broker , she will not join Shepard." it would have been a serious spoiler.

This.

@Yankee:
Yeah I want that as well, but if that's all I could get then I'd be okay with it not happy though. At all <_<

And? We have no proof one way or another as to what role Miranda is going to play. Also, if someone had said "You'll meet Garrus again and he'll be a love interest", that would have been a serious spoiler as well.

We.
Just.
Don't.
Know.
Either.
Way.

Until there is verifiable proof one way or the other, then I will withhold judgement. Additionally, there is 20-30 minutes of pure ME3 info due tomorrow. Also, if you're on Facebook, the ME2 page is providing regular updates and what seems to be additional stuff.

Did anyone notice that during the playthroughs? There were some sort of arrows/ guides on how to
maneuver.

Likewise Vertigo. They're too busy dreaming up worse & worse scenarios and winding themselves up that when ME3 finally comes out it'll be a crashing disappointment.

We all know what he said, and what it means.
But it doesn't change the fact that we have the right to be woried. A "serious spoiler" means nothing, it can be something positive or negative for people like me who want Miranda to have a significant screen time in ME3 (read : perm squadmate status).

@Prudii Aden
Don't blame people who doesn't manage to stay calm. Considering what Bioware done to ME1 characters in ME2, and until they give us some good news, we have good reasons to be worried.

@Yankee
I'm not blaming people. I just wish they'd take a break and at least try not to doommonger without verifiable evidence. Nor have we had any bad news as yet. In fact, apart from being told a)LI's will return and b)they can't tell us anything about Miranda without spoilers, we know nada. No news is no news.

Anyway, what did Bioware do to the ME1 characters? The interchangeable starting scene with Ash/Kaidan? That they largely said the same thing on Horizon? That Garrus got a bit of a scar? That Tali grew up?

I'm just preparing myself for the worst. The developers are obviously biased. I haven't made up my mind about it but I have a strong gut feelingly that I'm going to be disappointed at the amount of Miranda's development. And the attention Ashley, Liara, and Tali are getting doesn't bode well for us.

the polls you often see shows miranda to be usually the 3rd or 4th most popular character out of all the ME characters.

When i did two polls to act as controls It came out with the following

1st - Tali (Confirmed) Probable FULL or TEMP (depends on decisions)
2nd - Kaidan (Confirmed) FULL
3rd - Garrus (Confirmed) FULL
4th - Miranda
5th - Liara (Confirmed) FULL
6th - Wrex (Confirmed) TEMP
7th - Jack
8th - Ashley (Confirmed) FULL
9th - Mordin Solus (Confirmed) TEMP
10th - Thane Krios
11th - Kasumi
12th - Legion (Confirmed) TEMP
13th - Grunt
14th - Samara
15th -  Zaeed
16th - Jacob
17th - Morinth

and these results are not tampered with at all these are 100% accurate.

which they clearly show that some of the confirmed characters a lot less popular than some of the ones that are not confirmed like Miranda, Jack and Thane.

If you use my statistics you can feel more assured that miranda will be in the game considering characters have been confirmed that are less popular than her by quite some margins.

the character reduction Casey Hudson mentioned in a interview (cant remember which one) where he stated that he felt ME2 had too many characters in the game (I am guessing Full squad members on that) and you can see pretty much the confirms that are shown to be full squad members are potential LI's.

and so far the ones that appear to be TEMPs (mordin, Wrex and Legion) are not LI's which further increases the likelihood of Miranda being a full.

They also acknowledge that the fans want to see love triangles etc occuring during ME3 which is simply not possible without LI's being full squad members to get the maximum effect in the game.

Also they will have to be pretty brave not have Miranda as not a potential full squad member considering she is one of the most popular, in the same position as Garrus and Tali on potential story variation as well.

We don't know either way
No developer confirmed it therefore: Unconfirmed.
Same with Mordin.

All we have is a general idea that they will be temp.
