So all the old squad is out in the galaxy resolving their own problems. Miranda can easily fit in this with her father/sister/cerberus situation.

Yeah, I just hope we will be able to join them when we want. I think I've read somewhere that portions of the galaxy could be locked until you perform certain missions. I hope the one concerning Miranda will be available not too late during the game.

Thought/prediction: Miranda and Jacob are working together taking down Cerberus if both survived, or are being hunted by Leng. Things are going badly, and you can only save one (Virmire redux). Just to twist the knife further, they got back together if they didn't romance you.
