I doubt any man can possibly imagine what it must mean for a woman to not be able to have children. I know I can't. I mean, us men are used to being the reason behind just about anything that goes wrong, but taking away the ability to become a mother must be psychologically destroying. Being infertile (whether you're male or female doesn't really matter to a certain extent) is a far greater psychological issue than it is physiological. The medical condition or genetic disposition that renders one infertile may not be a big deal from a medical point of view, but the impact it has on your mind and on your self-esteem ist horrifying. I don't really know if I ever wanna have children, but I'd still be devastated if someone told that I'll never be able to be a father (well, a biological father anyway.
