Garrus has always been my favorite "token sacrifice", together with Grunt and Zaeed. Lately Tali has joined the club. I wouldn't kill more than three though - too many casualties makes your Shepard appear stupid. I'd also let Jacob live - I cannot imagine that his presence will influence Miranda's story arc in an undesirable way.

Personally, for my next playthrough, I think the SM casualties will be Jack, Zaeed, Tali, Garrus and Jacob.

On my main Shep, Jack and Tali died and that worked perfectly for me because those were the least used squad members on my team. Okay, maybe it was a little bit calculated :P

For my next playthrough I will have to lost the loyalty or avoid the loyalty missions of some squadmates.

There is such an SM calculator? Where?

And this pic might be old, but there's a dearth of Miranda pictures lately.

From Chris Priestly:

"Attention!

There has been some sort of change down at E3. Casey is unavailable and Jesse Houston is filling in.

And it is starting IMMEDIATELY. Go to the link and watch now it is starting shortly!

Watch it HERE"

Mass Effect 2 Suicide Mission Survival Calculator

The more I see pictures of Miranda with this bulky armor, the more I'm glad to not have the AAP2. <_<

Only interesting thing I got out of that was that Cerberus is indoctrinated
From squad banter...

Interesting to see how this effects Miranda's story...

OK, so Jesse Houston says "the role they [the old team members] will play will depend on your choices". Miranda-related decisions are:

*doing her loyalty mission or not
*encouraging her to speak with Oriana or not
*romancing her or not
*delaying the romance by not meeting her in the engine room or not
*destroying or keeping the Collector base

How do you think each of these decisions could affect her story and her role in ME3? I've not included the most obvious: having her survive or not, because I take that as a given here ;)

Miri confirmed as being in game. Still nothing on squad member status, though.

This will probably have some extra dialogue
If they have extra content aside from romance that would be great!

This has been known for some time...sad that we still don't know about status...

Same here. Will they be hunting for her ruthlessly on the side?

Did you hear about the time period they have ME3 starting at?
"6-12 months after ME2"
This raises questions not only on what happened during that time with Miranda but also (for me) Thane...

This seems reasonable. I couldn't fathom some saying it was only  a few months.  6-12 months is good.  a lot of romance could happen in that time...

I thought that they would have finished writing dialog by now.
Well, the new release date is not a surprise after all.

I can check off the first four and destroyed the CB, so I think I'm good. Though, that was on the PS3, but I'm not changing anything on my 360 canon.

I'm really hoping that if she isn't a permanent squadmate than at least she'll be there in the final battle. I don't want Shepard to get ready to possibly go fight a battle that he may never come back from and the only thing he can do is look at a photo of her I want her to come back from where ever she is to spend time with him and to fight the last fight with him.

I know lots of speculation and looking into the future going on right now.. but I gotta ask what Miranda's fans.. think of the "Damn it you're right" dialogue choice when breaking up with her.

I had never done it until today.. It skyrocketed up to one of my favorite Mass Effect 2 scenes..

Damn it -- you're right.

Shepard lowers his head and shifts around.

Shepard: This isn't the time to be getting involved, is it?

Miranda lifts her head to look at Shepard.

Miranda: No. I don't think it is.

Miranda stands up moves closer to Shepard.

Shepard: Maybe someday, after we save the galaxy?

Miranda and Shepard lightly grip each other's hands. Miranda smiles...

Miranda: Let's see how it goes. Until then... friends?

Shepard nods and Miranda walks back to her desk.

I'm making a save with this option and hoping in ME3 we finally get to be involved.. or better yet why couldn't she of tried to show up anyways before the Omega 4 jump with her mind changed? Considering how TERRIBLE the other two options are in that part of the romance(get you in bed line and the even worse "you want this" lines).

Thoughts? On this particular scene? It felt to me like one of the most romantic parts in the game.. a shame it is the "break up dialogue".

edit: the fact that I had this playing in the background made it even more epic.

If that was part of the romance, I wouldn't hate it.It's note perfect. Everybody's got their priorities in order and the theoretical coming together at the end feels earned.

New entry in the ongoing Kaidan/Miranda series. It's like crack and kryptonite. I just can't stop writing.

I think it's sweet but...
I usually romance her :D
The "I just want to get in bed with you" was a joke to lighten up the mood (and probably because it seems to me she gets hit on a lot by people who just want sex)

Funny how saying no to the romance scene before SM and turning down the romance itself seem so nice.

Only way to make her angry at you is if you side with Jack...

1) Worst case: I expect her to be Indoctrinated and possibly a pawn maybe like Saren? Best case: She shows competence and works with Shepard because he is the best chance.. despite their conflicts. (I don't picture Miranda the type to doom herself/humanity over a personal vendetta).
2) Oriana dies maybe? No contact. Tough to warn/get her to safety from Reapers.
3/4) I don't expect much difference between the two. I expect she joins on the Normandy at some point, and becomes a permanent squad member.
5) I'm not sure. Destroying it could put Oriana and her in danger. From not only Cerberus/Reapers.. but her father. Keeping it -- I'm not sure. Lot of ways to go about this -- best case: she finds something useful out of the base(weakness to reapers?? -- contermeasure to indoctrination maybe?) worst case: she is indoctrinated and a tool for Cerberus.

As for what I did myself;
1-Did it
2-Talked to Oriana
3/4- I went with 4
5-Kept(although I might metagame and destroy now)
