She does like fashion to some degree based on her subscription to After Dark Fashions. I'm not sure if that means she is into evening wear or lingerie. Or both.strive wrote...

I overlooked music. Dunno how. I could for sure see Miranda appreciating the technical aspects of music. Especially symphony works.

I'd say both. But I wouldn't classify that as a "hobby". Just a preference for nice and stylish clothing. Heh....one wouldn't think so looking at her in the game.MACharlie1 wrote...

Regarding Hudson's tweet: I'm not sure what to think. Anything from being a huge part of the story to being indoctrinated to killed by Leng would be a story spoiler.

Somehow, Miranda strikes me as a sweet tooth kinda girl. She's probably a sucker for chocolates and brownies and other awesome stuffz due to her rich girl upbringing.

In that case this is how I imagine him when he tweeted that bit about Miranda:

Another huge improvement we're taking on... More squad banter. I dare say, more than any other #MassEffect game to date.
So if she becomes a squadmate we can expect more banter!

Yeah, however, considering the huge amount of squad banter in ME 2 (or ME1), don't you mean we can expect banter?
As far as Miranda's off time hobbies, she may be a clothes horse, but I don't think it would come into full effect until she learns how to relax/ not be on duty all the time... although the idea of Shep & Miranda watching movies together and having 'fights' over the snacks does amuse...

This forum is for fans to discuss the characters in ME3 and how a particluar character from Mass Effect 1 or Mass Effect 2 may return in Mass Effect 3. This includes major pary NPCs like Kaiden, Tali, Joker, Thane, etc and characters with a lesser role you would like to see return in some way.
Interesting...

Just thought I'd drop in. VERY rarely do I post, but I lurk and check here to see what's up fairly regularly. Like everyone else I'm drumming my fingers waiting to hear what they plan to do with Miranda in terms of level of involvement in ME3. Not interested in spoilers, just whether they plan on making her a permanent squad member. I'll mosey on over to the other support thread and post eventually. Doesn't hurt to throw your support in I guess.
After the debacle of Dragon Age 2, her squadmate status will probably have a pretty sizeable impact on whether I pre-order or even get the game. I think Skyrim is going to make their competition stiff, and it was wise of Bioware to delay the game in my opinion.
I remember the first of these threads. Jeez, I was on the 3rd page of the very first one- http://social.biowar...04595/3#1008335
I guess Comtrav and Shinobi disappeared.

I dunno...I always think Miranda would prefer technique over brute power...so maybe she takes Wing Chun (a Chinese fighting style that focuses on speed and hitting an opponent in all the weakpoints to disable them...which I also am learning myself at the insistence of my dad XD). As for hobbies...I see her as a painter or maybe an ardent sketch artist. Or maybe she writes cheesy, romantic and soppy-as-a-sponge fanfic that's well received by her readers? XD

I see as as a Krav Maga kind of girl. Efficient, conservative in movement in power and the most lethal martial art on the planet.
All Australians love chocolate. We are the reason the Cadbury Chocolate Empire is still running. Top deck, Marble, or dream, it's as much of a national food as kangaroo.

krav maga is good, very clean & efficient, but i'd expect someone like miranda to know several styles tbh - aikido, ju-jitsu, kick-boxing etc. shep should know keysi as well (SAS have started training everyone in that, now, too).

The cops were very understanding when they took the guy to hospital with a broken arm and several shattered fingers.
In 'Salt', Angelina Jolie used a combination of Muay Thai and Krav Maga. Muay Thai's a pretty elegant art, would definitely suit Miranda.

Whoa...when I left, we were at slightly over 300 pages. Now it's 600? Goddamn, Miri approves of this fo SHO.
I guess Miranda would be trained in a few martial arts like akido, wing chun, krav maga and muay thai, but I don't think she'd learn anymore than half dozen. She's a scientist after all, not a soldier.
And Miranda loving chocolates, brownies and cookies? Are you reading my mind KatieKrios?

Rated M for language and adult situations.
Title/Link: Hollow
Synopsis: A conversation with Morinth becomes a dangerous game of seduction. Darkfic.
Length: approx. 2700 words
Here's a snippet:
"I'm not in love with Miranda," Shepard announced as the door to the observation deck hissed shut behind him.
Continuing to look out at the expanse of stars drifting by, Morinth made no reply. She had been thinking of her sisters, ensconced in an asari monastery for the safety of the galaxy. Were they happy tending to bees and brewing honeymead while suppressing their true nature? Had stoic Falere found a use for her gift with numbers? Did clever Rila still like to play pranks on her friends? Did they have friends? She had thought of them rarely over the years, but playing the role of the dutiful justicar for the past few months had led to countless hours of quiet reflection within this room. It was dreadfully dull. She would much rather be in a dark, pulsing nightclub somewhere, anywhere, dancing the night away in a hallex-induced haze, thinking about nothing but her next victim. Soon, she would be. Shepard's mission was over and she would be disembarking at the next stop.
"Did you hear me?" Shepard prodded.
"I heard you, Shepard," Morinth replied. She didn't intend to look at him until he said something interesting. "Why are you telling me this? What do you think I know of love?"
Shepard ignored the question. "She thinks I love her. I've told her I love her. But I don't. I never did." There was no anxiety in his voice. No guilt. Just...weariness.
Oh very well. She turned to him. "You're boring me, Shepard. And you know how I hate that. Of course you don't love her."
Shepard's eyes burned like dying embers, casting an orange pallor on the scars that criss-crossed his face. "You knew?"
She sighed. Idiot. "Do you remember that night on Omega? When you helped me kill my mother?"
Shepard shrugged his shoulders slightly. If the memory caused him any discomfort, it didn't show. "Yes. What of it?"
Smiling, she stepped toward him. "Well, in between all those clever lies and prepared responses, you said something that was true." She touched his arm, relishing the electric discharge.
"Now I'm the one who's bored," he said, shrugging her hand away. "What 'true thing' did I say?"
She smirked as she turned and walked toward the divan, hips slowly swaying. "That you were like me."
He barked out a sharp laugh. "I'm nothing like you!"

I'm working on a fic about Miranda's backstory from her relationship to Niket, Lanteia, Oriana, etc. etc. etc. to her first days with Cerberus. It's kind of like a "covert Affairs" type thing, where she's the new recruit in Cerberus getting all the jobs nobody wants and they shape her character. Sound good to anyone? If so, I'll post a link when I publish the first chapter.

Just thought I'd let you know about my fanfic that I'm working on. It's basically a possible Mass Effect 3 plot. Now the Shep in this story has chosen to romance Jack, which I know is a bit of a red rag to a bull for some Mirimance fans, but I want to make it clear that this story is not about their relationship, that's only a tiny portion of the overarching plot, and it is fair to each and every character.
In the current storyline, Shepard has just reached a mission that is very integral to Miri's part in the plot, and I want to know how my treatment of the character comes off to the resident experts in all things Miss Lawson. Please, let me know what you think of it. The chapter is called Shepard's Fifteen, and features most of the cast from ME2 as well as a few new faces.
