She's not as renegade as she was before ME2, she didn't become paragon of course but she's now like my paragade shep.
I don't fear to see a "softer" Miranda in ME3 like you do. I like seeing characters evolve. But I don't want to see a sudden and illogical change like they did with Liara.

What would kill it for me is if she went from being Shep's equal to a simpering damsel in distress.

I don't think it will happen, I hope it won't happen ...

BTW, it's interesting to note Miranda doesn't say keeping the base was the wrong decision. She only expresses doubts and says "I hope we made the right decision". I like that - my Shepard couldn't make any other decision, but he does think about its possible unpleasant side-effects. Who wouldn't? Legion's reaction was also interesting: he noted we now had the knowledge to gain the "unity and transcendence" the Old Machines offered the heretics, and expresses its hopes that humanity doesn't use it. I also like that - having that knowledge is a precondition for making a decision about how to use it or not.
Now it remains to be seen how it will go with Miranda in ME3. I'm not sure if I should look forward to it or dread it.
I've mentioned this before, several times on the old thread, I assumed everyone was in denial.Like said before more details wouldn't hurt. What is this foreign concept of "Right",didn't Friedrich go over this,or is she talking about it as a idea of doing?

"We had to do it Shepard. Taking down the collector base was the right decision. The Illusive Man might not agree ... but we had no choice."

If I remember correct, there are three times near the end and after that she uses the right. I'm wondering which way she is trying to cone sieve it. After keeping the base.

Ah...I'd say you can interpret what she says either way.Sixth Goul wrote...
I'm talking about does she mean a moral "right", an ethical "right" or the neutral non moral "right".

She would destroy the base :
- if you destroy it, she agree with you
- if you keep it, she hopes it's not a mistake
The answer in ME3.

One of these days, I'll figure out why she is the character that completely ate my brain. She shares a handful of traits with a few other favorite characters, but I've been met with incredulity when I mention that I like Miranda that I'm starting to wonder about my sanity. Given that with the complete antithesis of each other ethically and that I find the more blatant fanservice moments distracting, you'd think that I would simply hate her. But I can't even do my "how nasty can I be to her today?" games anymore. I'm not even sure I could write stories now because all my ideas involve putting her through seven different kinds of hell.

I keep hoping that Bioware will give us an another alternate costume for Miranda soon.

The observation deck is already occupied by Samara. Plus for her romance scene (not sure if it even counts as romance) Samara blocks Sheps attempt for a kiss in that room. I don't think it's right to have a romance scene in someone's room unless Shep is romancing that particular person. I do agree that the observation deck would be better but only if no one was in it to begin with. So if you go through each deck and through the process of elimination there's only 3 options.Ieldra2 wrote...
I liked the scene itself as far as ME2 scenes go and apart from the location being uncomfortable. I agree their romance needed a more special location than the captain's quarter, but an observation deck with a window to open space would have been 500% more romantic and very special, too. Add a blue or red giant star in the background and it would have been even better. Perhaps something with a mood similar to the scene I posted on page 117 of thread 2.ShadowJ20 wrote...
As for the engine room scene I personally thought it was great. It was really unique in my opinion because it wasn't on the typical king sized bed. Jack and Tali's romance scenes were in the Caps Quarter. If Miranda's romance scene was in the caps quarter then Miranda wouldn't really separate herself from Jack/Tali. Out of the 3 I think Miranda is the most confident one. She tells Shep where to go and when rather than waiting for Shep in the Caps Quarter. Also in the engine room it has some things that are unique..like that globe like thing and those blue lights. I think it suppose to represent imagery. When Shep and Miranda "do it" it's a a more "wondrous" place making it extra special. That's just my opinion.
A.Shep's Quarter
B.Miranda's Quarter (Both quarters are the same so no point on going to Miranda's if their looking for something different)
C.Engine Room
And I don't count the galaxy map because Joker's a few feet away lol. And I don't really like Joker. If he didn't waste his time trying to save the first Normandy Shep would've never died.

By that logic, the engine room doesn't work because of Tali, who has a very obvuous crush on Shep even if you don't romance her. Miranda comes off as either thoughtless or deliberately rubbing her face in it. Better to ask Mordin to leave his lab for a few minutes or do it right there in the elevator.
I always wondered about that. Were there doors that shut off the engine room, or could Tali, Gabby and Ken just peer in on Shepard and Miranda going at it? Also, Zaeed has that monitor with a ton of visual feeds. AND Thane, Mordin and Jacob have a view of the mass effect core. I think I would've found a safer place....

Would it really be a bad thing,if they looked on, it just proves that there a bunch of jealous perverts.
What does that say about Tali and Jacob,if they look on?
Seeing the person they, love embracing in that special hug, with there mortal enemy. That would be hell, that would be sinister, that would be pure brilliance on Miranda's ;if that why she picked that location. I might consider placing her at the top of my list,if more detail were given.

Well technically she's outside of the room. Her true place is by that console. So she doesn't really have a room more like a station like Kaiden in ME1. And obviously she can't have the romance scene right there so might as well go to the Caps quarters. Plus for her romance scene to work you can't see her face. Her scene won't work well in the engine room. The bed in the captain quarters helps block your view and zoom in on her helmet.

Gabby and her friend were abducted by the collector so the room was empty. Miranda did say she "cleared" the engine room so that works for me.
