It's more like "Everyone needs to know you're mine". It's her way of saying she won't share Shepard. I find that expression jarring myself, since she seems a rather private person in all other scenes and this doesn't fit, but since I never hear it myself it's easy to ignore. I think whoever wrote this wanted to have her say something "different" from the standard expressions and this was the result.awpdevil wrote...
I dunno if it necessarily has anything to do with the choice in location, but if you have other interests at the time you start flirting around with her, she says something like " I want to make sure everyone on this ship knows your mine." Take that anyway you want. I'm not even sure what I myself, think of that comment.

Why not remove Samara from the observation deck the same way she cleared Tali out of the engine room? I'm sure Samara wouldn't mind. And, btw, I didn't think of occupied rooms when I posted the above: I simply wanted to say that an observation deck would have been more romantic. And it would.ShadowJ20 wrote...
The observation deck is already occupied by Samara. Plus for her romance scene (not sure if it even counts as romance) Samara blocks Sheps attempt for a kiss in that room. I don't think it's right to have a romance scene in someone's room unless Shep is romancing that particular person. I do agree that the observation deck would be better but only if no one was in it to begin with. So if you go through each deck and through the process of elimination there's only 3 options.Ieldra2 wrote...
I liked the scene itself as far as ME2 scenes go and apart from the location being uncomfortable. I agree their romance needed a more special location than the captain's quarter, but an observation deck with a window to open space would have been 500% more romantic and very special, too. Add a blue or red giant star in the background and it would have been even better. Perhaps something with a mood similar to the scene I posted on page 117 of thread 2.ShadowJ20 wrote...
As for the engine room scene I personally thought it was great. It was really unique in my opinion because it wasn't on the typical king sized bed. Jack and Tali's romance scenes were in the Caps Quarter. If Miranda's romance scene was in the caps quarter then Miranda wouldn't really separate herself from Jack/Tali. Out of the 3 I think Miranda is the most confident one. She tells Shep where to go and when rather than waiting for Shep in the Caps Quarter. Also in the engine room it has some things that are unique..like that globe like thing and those blue lights. I think it suppose to represent imagery. When Shep and Miranda "do it" it's a a more "wondrous" place making it extra special. That's just my opinion.
A.Shep's Quarter
B.Miranda's Quarter (Both quarters are the same so no point on going to Miranda's if their looking for something different)
C.Engine Room
And I don't count the galaxy map because Joker's a few feet away lol. And I don't really like Joker. If he didn't waste his time trying to save the first Normandy Shep would've never died.

It wouldn't make any sense to her. She'd answer something like "People tell themselves this to deal with thejtav wrote...
Question: Would Miranda agree with the old chestnut "It's better to have loved and lost than never loved at all?"
emotional pain of a lost love, or to justify why they chase after love like it's the only thing in life. I don't need such a crutch for the former, and I don't do the latter. Is it true? You can never know - if you've loved and lost you will never know what life would have been like if you had not loved at all, and vice versa."

I keep saying this, but she is an astonishingly beautiful woman. Now if only she had her black outfit as her default outfit...
I keep hoping that Bioware will give us an another alternate costume for Miranda soon.
Yes....I would like(below) ......or an entirely different outfit all together:wizard:
Yeah it's a great reskin, but I would prefer a different outfit. Without Cerberus logo if it's possible.

Maybe........I'm pretty sure nobody wants to be alone for the rest of their lives. Friends can only be around so much...nobody should die alone. If you don't tell Miranda to go see her sister I think she tells you she regrets not talking to her.

I said "an observation deck" exactly because I didn't want to imply removing Samara or Kasumi from theirs. It was a general statement not even necessarily referring to the Normandy, although I do indeed wish the Normandy had an unoccupied observation deck.ShadowJ20 wrote...
@Ieldra2 Well if Shep and Miranda did do it there then I don't think Samara wants to meditate there anymore and Tali isn't in the room she's by the console. Plus Tali probably doesn't need to clean out the engine anymore because Joker gave EDI more control over the ship......and you said the observation deck was was 500% better so it sounds like your implying that the scene should be there. I just gave you my thoughts....
As for Tali, there is no bulkhead between where she's standing and where Shepard and Miranda meet, she might as well be in the same room. But speaking of unoccupied rooms - there's the cargo hold. Hmm....perhaps that would've been too boring.

I'm going to have to disagree with Ieldra in regards to my question now that I've had a chance to mull it over. She does agree that a relationship with Shep is worth the risk of her getting her heart broken if he dies.

Indeed, unless the 'hood' of the Hammerhead was used...

BTW, I support the Shep/Miranda romance. For the reasons mentioned in the OP, and also because I share the same reservations about the Jack and Tali romances, I think Miranda is the most "workable" romance in ME2, head-and-shoulders above the others.
For Male Shep, def. in ME2 I support this 100% Wish FemShep could have romanced her, though.

As Fire Team Leader:
Loyal + Correct Tech Specialist (loyals Kasumi, Legion, or Tali) -> Tech LIVES
Unloyal + Any Tech Specialist -> Tech DIES
As the Biotic Specialist:
Squadmates die in a particular order according to this suicide mission guide
As the Distraction Team Leader
Miranda lives regardless of loyalty
With a weak Hold the Line score (see the suicide mission guide for details):
Unloyals die before Loyals
Mordin -> Tali -> Kasumi -> Jack -> Miranda
Your middle tier Hold the Line defenders:
Jacob, Legion, Miranda, Samara/Morinth, Thane
Hear Miranda disagree with keeping the base:
1) Bring along a squadmate who agrees with keeping the base (Garrus, Grunt, Legion, Mordin, Zaeed)
2) Tell the Illusive Man the base is an abomination
To catch Miranda falling down the platforms:
1) Miranda's icon must be on the RIGHT
2) If you need to reload, make sure Miranda's icon is still on the RIGHT
To have Miranda pull Shepard up onto the Normandy:
Miranda will pull Shepard up onto the Normandy before any other squadmate

I agree. Would have made me a very happy player As is, I prefer Kaidan, Thane, or Liara for Shep. It's very strange to be primarily a FemShep player who likes Miranda.

No, you have to move her on your left (when you face the reaper). The icon position doesn't work because during the combat, the squadmates can move from their position.
Just give Miranda an order to take position on your left just before you kill the reaper.

If a FemShep could have romanced Miranda, I could have played all my ME1 saves.
I only played my MaleShep saves in ME2.

No, honestly, that's how it goes. You can test it if you'd like.Yannkee wrote...

I've already tested it a lot of times, for my videos.
First I thought it was the solution you explained, but it doesn't work. The only times it worked, it's when I did what I explained.

The results I was getting during the massive OCD science experiment consistently demonstrated the squadmate on the right would fall down the platform. As far as I know, no one ever made an effort to put a squadmate on the left when facing the Reaper. I never did.Yannkee wrote...

So if it works as you say, that means everyone who participated in that experiment got lucky.

I can attest to the fact that the icon position doesn't matter. I did the Collector Base twice yesterday with Miranda's icon on the right both times (because I tried to follow what you wrote in the other thread), and there were different outcomes. As to how to get her consistently to fall down the platform, it seems to depend on where she's standing at the start of the cutscene, but I haven't tested any more. But the hypothesis that it depends on the icon position is disproven.Pacifien wrote...

Yes I think so, your solution worked for me until I picked Kasumi with me. I think it's because of her cloak ability, she's likely to change position with the other squadmate more often.
