Miranda's icon on the left, Mordin's icon on the right. Ordered Miranda to take position to my left. Caught Mordin. Repeated.
Garrus's icon on the left, Tali's icon on the right. Ordered Garrus to take position to my left. Caught Tali. Repeated. Caught Tali.
Mordin's icon on the left. Grunt's icon on the right. Ordered Mordin way the hell over to the left. Caught Grunt. Repeated. Caught Grunt.
I noted on my experiment thread that anomalies did pop up at various points, but none of them have been about the position of the icons. However, it's an assumption on my part that the icon matters because that's where the pattern lies. I haven't gotten it to work by positioning the squadmates. Yannkee and Ieldra2 haven't gotten it to work by ensuring Miranda's icon is on the right. So it's some other factor that I don't even know where to begin figuring it out.
So the icon about keeping the icon on the right might not be a 100% guarantee. It's close enough for government work, but it's not the actual factor involved, apparently.

For my ending I saved Miranda from falling on the platform and she helped my Shep up when he jumped to reach the Normandy. Best ending for Miranda fans.
Indeed.

Hear Miranda disagree with keeping the base:
1) Bring along a squadmate who agrees with keeping the base (Garrus, Grunt, Legion, Mordin, Zaeed)
2) Tell the Illusive Man the base is an abomination
Miranda will disagree with keeping the base regardless of your other squadmate - I think it's something she says by default.
Edit: I just tested talking to all the squad members if you keep the base. None of them agree with the decision.

She doesn't disagree, she's unsure. Why? Not sure, no logical reason is given(OOC). Also, she only brings it up if, the other takes a renegade stance, strangely enough.

This is all in relation to what the squadmates say during the suicide mission. When the Illusive Man begins his communication with you as you're getting ready to destroy the base, he tells you there's another option. You then have three choices. You can tell him outright the base is an abomination, ask what that option is, or ask him what he'd do with the base.TheKillerAngel wrote...

If you tell the Illusive Man the base is abomination, then Garrus, Grunt, Legion, Mordin, or Zaeed is going to speak up with a reason why you should keep the base.
If you ask the Illusive Man what he plans to do with the base, then Jack, Jacob, Kasumi, Miranda, Samara/Morinth, Tali, or Thane will then speak up with a reason why you need to destroy the base.
It's similar to how in ME1, when Joker asks you if the Alliance Fleet should come in to save the Destiny Ascension, one of your squadmates is going to advocate saving them while the other advocates sacrificing them. Then you'd get a situation where if you had Liara and Garrus with you, Liara would say to save the Council while Garrus says not to. But then have Garrus and Wrex with you, Garrus will say to save the Council while Wrex says not to. Only in ME2, squadmates stick to one decision or the other.
When you get back to the Normandy, all squadmates will then voice some reservation if you had kept the base, regardless if they were advocating for you to keep it earlier.

*Getting* anxious? I've been that for quite some time now.... after Miranda, none of the other LIs will ever do.jtav wrote...
Anyone else getting increasingly anxious about ME3? I'm torn between desperately wanting more Miranda and the knowledge that a) they could really screw this up andit's sidekicks like Tali and Garrus that tend to return, not leads like Miranda.

Agreed, I want to play from a femshep's perspective but I love the Miranda romance so much I can't bring myself to play as a chick.Ieldra2 wrote...

I actually meant the LIs for a maleShep. It's true I think Miranda is the most interesting overall, but that's not prevented me from playing femSheps - were it not for Miranda, I'd prefer them. Apart from that, I don't play this game only for its virtual romances.II Sl4sh3r II wrote...

Are you sure about this ? I remember I also played the final mission with Jacob, Kasumi and Samara, and we also hear Miranda disagree with keeping the base. (I'm sure of Kasumi and Samara, I have recorded videos)
