Amazing what better lighting and further refined materials can do. Now if I could just figure out how the bones in the face work to create realistic poses...

One of these days I'll up-res her texture. For the time being though, I'm not complainingkraidy1117 wrote...

My only complaint is can you fill her neck? Her neck is clipping her strap. Other then that, it's hawt.

Damn clipping errors...kraidy1117 wrote...My only complaint is can you fill her neck? Her neck is clipping her strap. Other then that, it's hawt.
Also, what you're looking at is basically a fancy material using mostly ingame textures. Imagine if I did to her what I did to Tali (you know the renders I'm referring to).
Potential is high.

I was referring to my 3dsmax material set-up for Tali. Instead of the texture being 1024x1024, I kicked it up to 4096x4096 (then added detail maps and separate materials for different parts).kraidy1117 wrote...

Miranda is (thankfully) far simpler.

Yes. But you only get it if you answer "No promises" (Shepard actually says "It doesn't work that way. We could all be dead this time tomorrow. So if it's not worth it...."). I prefer that answer not only because of the hug, but because it's the honest answer.DirtyVagrant wrote...
The hug, that's from the part where Miranda asks you to promise not to die again, right?

And if I can use stuff the devs didn't address to draw negative conclusions, I can us them to draw positive ones as well. Besides, she does comment approvingly on Thane and Mordin.
Lol good point.
I agree with you. I've never thought Miranda was arrogant, specifically. I merely thought she was aware of the full extent of her capabilities, as a robot might be. She seems to take no pleasure in it, and I've always thought of arrogance as one taking pleasure in oneself.
I agree as well.

I was just replaying Lazarus Station again and I've gotten to the part where Miranda kills Wilson.
I was all, "You should've taken him alive. Now you can't question him."
And her answer, of course, is, "Too risky. I've spent too much time on you to have you killed now."
Am I the only one that thought this was kind of weak? I mean Wilson posed absolutely no threat to me. Miranda already knew he was a traitor, he could've easily been handcuffed and carted off. Killing him is a waste.

Yeah that never made any sense to me either. He's wounded, has 1 weapon, the only combat application of his omnitool is harmless (more or less) to organics, and you know to watch him. Though perhaps since she failed to see the threat he posed before everything went to hell she doesn't want to take the chance of under estimating him again.

As for Wilson, I think wounded pride also played a small role. He got one over on her.
And another topic: When did Miranda start viewing Shepard as a person instead of the subject of the Lazarus Project? For the better part of two years, he's just meat and tubes to her and a corpse she's been tasked with resurrecting. Certainly, I didn't get the sense that she cared about Shep beyond the mission during the prologue.
Sometimes I feel like the Miranda of the prologue is a different (and creepier and more fascinating) character.

I felt like Wilson was a bit of a plot hole in this regard. And yes, I thought he might have a thing for Miranda. His data logs certainly gave that impression (to me). "I thought she'd be happy but she's still the same old ice queen..." "Maybe now Miranda will appreciate me..."

When does she start? Almost immediately after acquiring the SR2, it seems. The first regular conversation on the Normandy is about normal in tone. And this is much too fast. I guess I'm not the only one who thinks she changes her attitude towards Shepard too fast.jtav wrote...

As for Wilson, shooting him because keeping him alive is "too risky" is indeed weak. Especially considering we don't know anything about his motivations. Perhaps Miranda knows and she keeps it secret - that's what I interpret into this scene, for not keeping him alive for interrogation would be stupid otherwise.
