Can't remember if we've covered this before, but what sort of films or genres do you believe Miranda would be willing to watch? I'm guessing that prior to getting involved with Shepard, she wouldn't, really watch them. Once she is, I'd say she'd probably take a certain amount of guilty pleasure in films she can just turn her brain off and enjoy. Films like G I Joe, for example. I'd say it's entirely possible that once the relationship has found it's footing, film nights might become a regular occurrence, if only for the reason that it gives them couple time and she gets to do something frivolous while snuggling with Shepard.

Ieldra - I sort of agree, in that while I like the romance, I find it can be useful as a means to an end. I'm curious as to what Miranda did for fun, both before and after the romance kicks off. I'm guessing she'd be more than a bit of a workaholic before, and less so later on - hence my slightly rambling film post.

A decision, confrontation....if it's done well, it's OK. It's this idea that Shepard should somehow be "punished" for "cheating" that sends me (and Nightwriter, as it seems) up the wall.

Well, "punishment"...what can they do (for example, Liara/Miranda)?

- Shep can't continue Liara's romance (that's something I would like to see)

- confrontation scene, Shep decides...
but you lose Liara's or Miranda's loyalty as a result (I don't know if they'll use a loyalty system in ME3...or if the LIs are even squadmates). Why not?

- I don't want to see...
catfights (Miranda and Liara are are too mature for that)
Shep can't recruit Miranda or Liara

The focus on romance is fairly typical in fanfic. I do have a few non-romance ideas, but at the moment I'm just happy to be writing. I would like to disassociate myself with those people who are seriously calling for the pairing to be a consequence of cheating. I don't want Shepard punished beyond having to pick someone. So if you guys could skip me when it comes time to bring out the torches and pitchforks, I would be grateful.

Same here. It'll never happen. In fact, the original idea (months ago, just after I wrote my first story) came about after I read yet another discussion on the lack of same-sex romance options and decided writing a Miranda-centric story for a LGBT ficathon would be fun. "Asexual? Try passing your poster girl off as asexual!" Liara didn't enter the picture until some time later, after I had been informed that they interacted positively in Redemption. Then I started actually liking the idea, and the rest is history

doubt it, as it would kinda spoil shep's reputation (especially if renegade), and anyway you could end things pretty finally before even embarking on the me2 romance, if you wished (despite the standard e-mail) - i know i did.

On the subject of dem eyez (sorta), finally "perfected" the skin shader and got her eyes looking nice.  It was a good day.

I didn't mean you, jtav. No worries there. And I would like to read more of your fanfics - whether you wait until it's finished and post the link here or post more excerpts, it's good.

As for non-romance fanfics, I still have something in the works and write a bit here and there. But nothing to post yet.
