I can read some confusion here:

The patch is NOT out yet. This is just a topic SAYING and CONFIRMING bugs that will be included in the UPCOMING patch.

There is no release date yet, but as mentioned there will be some new information on bugs that will be included in the upcoming patch this friday.

So basically they release new info each week, not a patch each week. (which would be awesome if they could)Image IPB

This is probably a dumb question, but is there any chance that the shapeshifting using strength bug will be fixed?

Please PLEASE PLEASE fix these issues:

social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/67/index/1785536

My biggest problem with continuing to play the game involves Alistair and whether or not he becomes king and/or acts like he becomes king. Because, supposedly, from everything everyone tells me, on the x360 and PS3 it doesn't matter what choices you make, he ALWAYS acts as if he's the King, and the epilogue treats him the same way.

PLEASE FIX THIS! :(

Friday's update better be impressive because my blood's starting to boil a little again with the Leliana DLC announcement. And don't give me that "the patch team is separate from the DLC team" business again I've heard it a million times. That's not the point and it never was.

Patiently awaiting War for Cybertron next week........roll out!

Well, it's not like we didn't know there was going to be a Lelianna DLC, when the voice of Lelianna posted something about it on Facebook months ago. I do admit the timing of the announcement leaves a great deal to be desired in the corporate tact department for EA. By the way, I'm agreeing with you that there better be some good news for those wanting a decent patch for the game to offset this EA corporate stupidity.

Ah, I try to avoid Facebook like the plague. I agree with you though, it's not that I don't want new DLC. It's more like the way in which they are consistently announced sans game fixes. I know the two are separate. But as I've mentioned before, the appearance of impropriety can be just as bad as the real thing.

If this thread and last week's weren't around I think I would already be blowing a head fuse by now...

I haven't been able to finish DA:O because of a patch 1.03 error causing a boss battle CTD every time. I hope they don't release a patch and instead continue to release DLC. EAware has turned flushing money down a toliet a super fun mini game! Cha-ching ! Flush! I win!

As humor, it falls flat; as biting sarcasm, it's a
wrap. Hopefully, an already mentioned fix is
what you need to end your crashes. :)

I just love how the teaser for leliania's dlc says she can't use her theif skills to get out of this one, its "kill or be killed." Wonder if that has anything to do with thief skills - namely stealing - being broke ever since patch 1.03??? And not even slated for fixing yet in this patch?

Yeah, this would've been a lot worse without a real thread about upcoming fixes, still, a dlc announcement a week after a patch annoucement probably wasn't the best idea since it's what has been done for the last eight months. That being said, having this thread and actual updates about the patch does help with the anger of seeing yet another dlc and no patch yet. It would be nice though to have a general ETA on the patch, like a few weeks, months, whatever. I do wonder about people's patience though if another dlc after this one is released before the patch.
The problem with dlc being released before a patch is that some things in the dlc might not be compatible with some of the fixes in the patch, which means testing everything again due to the new dlc, which means a longer wait.

I just got an email response from "Danny K." to a bug report I filed on March 16th for my Xbox 360 (about how DA:O corrupts save files if you sell too often to one merchant) asking me to send them the output from dxdiag.exe. You see I just save the output to my desktop and paste it into my web browser...

I continue to wonder if BioWare even has a quality assurance team.

i really wonder how many atmoic wedgies you suffered in your life at school, i'm guessing alot

Anywho Patch info so far is looking good, do appreciate those awakening fixes as they were the most game breaking ones

How cute, a gamer on a social forum for a gaming company, essentially calling another gamer a nerd.

i really wonder how many atmoic (sic) wedgies you suffered in your life at school, i'm guessing alot (sic).

lol how personal we take my comment random person wherein the person i directed it at lughed it off, tsk tsk

But if you're so curious i actually had a pleasant enough school experiance, high school years in particular as i went to regular school for half the day than to art school the 2nd half of the day, nothing says fun like a class room of art students, every corner of the weirdo spectrum is covered lol

For the record, I did laugh it off.  I'm not a sensitive clod, I swear.  Lighten up people!  Have a bit of fun while Bioware gets their act together!   :o

Let's lighten the mood:

I was referring more to the absolute irony and idiocy involved in a gamer, on a gaming social website, calling another gamer a nerd.

Pot and kettle, etc.

Just wondering if anyone knows, will this patch make older saved games corrupt or unplayable?

@Michael: Not sure, but it shouldn't.. Don't know why it would. The last patch didn't, so I would assume this one wouldn't either.

@Krethka... was that Bioware, or EA who responded to your Xbox error report?  Would love to learn there's a channel for submitting problems directly to the former, but suspect it's the latter who employs Danny k.

It's time for another update on what you can expect to see in
the next patch release for Dragon Age. This week, we were able to
confirm some issues that are Awakening specific, and want to share them
with you.

• Instant +100 approval bugs for Awakening companions
have been resolved.
• Anders, Sigrun and Velanna's personal quests
will properly activate.
• Fixed an issue that would prevent an
imported character from detecting traps.
• Red script will no longer
appear in the place of tattoos.
• Power of Blood talent will be
usable in Awakening.

I am surprised you didn't the silverite mine bug, It seems like one the biggest issues in Awakening to me. Can you comment on it, is it on Bioware's radar? Sorry if it was mentioned earlier in the thread and I missed it.
