Ok, this evening I wasn´t at home so my anser is a little bit delayed, but I may can bring light into darkness.

@Ieldra2: No as far as I know you can make all defence useless against powers or not. But nut only armor (or shield or barrier) Sorry.

@Bozorgmehr: You have to search for: [SFXGame.SFXDifficulty]

Level 1=Easy

Level 2=Normal

Level 3=Veteran

Level 4=Hardcore

Level 5=Insanity

Level 6=Don´t bother you won´t make it ;)

from there the following lines should be what you´re searching for. I´m not really sure what all of these lines are doing, but the most seems to be selfexplaining. For the rest, you may have to play arround a little bit.

For a little difference to enemy AI you have to go to the different weapon entrys.[SFXGame.SFXWeapon] and following. Note: SFXWeapon is just some kind of prototype for the other Weapons don´t change anything there. Go down till you get to the Assault Rifle and start there.

In every weapon entry you have following options that are interesting for your enemys without changing your guns (you can do that with the damage values for example)

DamageAI=*.* --> The Damage Enemys are doing to you with their weapon, the higher the value the more they del to you (and your squadmates)

I´m not sure, bit I think the following values are also important for your squadmembers:

X=minValue Y=maxValue

AI_BurstFireCount=(X=*,Y=*) --> How many shots the AI fires till hiding again

AI_BurstFireDelay=(X=0.65f,Y=3.25f) --> How many time are between the bursts

AI_BurstFireMovingDelay=(X=0.65f,Y=2.f) --> Not sure, but I think it may the same as the line above only for moving instead of bunkering AI

AI_AimDelay=(X=0.4,Y=0.4) --> How good they´re hitting (cause they usually miss very less shots I wouldn´t play around there, but thats up to you)

So thats it as far as I know. Just play arround with these values a little and don´t forget to make an backup :)

What games have more spawns on a higher difficulty? Not any I've seen in the last 5 years. When I play MW2 on veteren, the enemies just strip my health faster, the same as ME2. Bioware is using the same outdated difficulty system that most games use; we need a system based on AI intelligence, not that relative amounts of health. Far Cry 2, as flawed as it was, presented great AI enemies. They snuck around, flanked you, and then sprinted in with a shotgun. We need that, not less health.

Agreed, but the problem is that AI isn't important, difficulty same story (though both are interconnected). Games are designed for the looks (graphics). Nothing more, nothing less. It's a shame, but it sells. One of my favorite game series (Total War) had great AI and decent graphics at  first, but it changed to bad AI and great graphics. You can mod the Total War games, but enhancing the AI is very difficult. I would love improved AI performance, but the modability of ME2 is limited, so using the familar 'huge bonus AI, player penalties' approach is probably the less worst thing to make the game harder.

@SAE100 Thanks for the help. I'll look into the C.ini more closely and experiment with some of the settings.

Yeah, I would prefer an better AI in ME3. A little bit more powers used by enemys would be nice. And that their powers are working the same roules than mine. I have barrier and get warped? It explodes. I have shields and get overloaded? Ouch. I have Armor (wish as defence for Soldiers additional to shields to give him the heavy armor back) and get incineratet? Well say hello to Mister Yellow.

But I have to say, that the AI isn´t that bad, I´ve seen worse and it works most of the time.
