Hi,

I seem to have problems to see traps when I use "very high" as graphics settings. If I move the camera very close to the ground, I can see them very, very (very) faintly (i.e. the objects are definitely there, only the textures have a very low alpha value); only when I switch the graphics detail to "low", they're rendered correctly (probably because all textures are rendered without the alpha channel). The traps do become visible in any case when somebody steps on them.

I also uploaded screenshots I took with various graphics settings, however I seem not to be able to access them here, at least they don't show up in the pages they're supposed to show up in. I'll try to post these screenshot somewhere else later.

Anyway, I have an AMD HD 5870 graphics board, running the latest 9.10 drivers on Win7 64. Apart from some older beta drivers, there are no other driver I could try out. However, it's not unheard of for the current drivers to show some problems in certain games (e.g. "The Witcher" has serious graphics artifacts).

best,

Torsten

After some more testing, I just found out that the traps are rendered in different graphics settings, however in order to have them show up, I need to *change* the graphics settings, i.e. when I have a character walk into a room, I either need to switch from "low" to "very high" (I would guess that anything not "low" would do) or vice versa to see the traps. Maybe it also has to do with the settings that are active when the savegame is loaded, I can't say yet.

After some more testing, it really does depend on the graphics settings that are active when the traps are detected, i.e. by changing the graphics settings, I can switch between sets of traps being shown.

Yeah Ive had the same problem. Can BARELY see them on high settings even when zoomed in all the way. However when I switch to low settings I can see them clearly.

Maybe they want to give those with crappy computers a break?

I just had a look at the traps in the Korcari Wilds, they show for me and I'm using very high details.

But just to make sure we're talking about the same thing here: You know that traps usually don't show when they're still active, right? They appear once they hit you, or - so I presume, because I haven't played with a real rogue yet - when your rogue detects them.

One of the traps in Korcari I just coudn't even TRY to disarm it since it wasn't clickable at all. I can see it when I press tab, but I can't click on it. All the other traps in there worked though. This was on highest settings anyways.

No, they're "detected" by my rogue, they just stay invisible until I change the settings.
