So i activated the cerberus code through the game itself, at the little menu in the left. I used this very account, and now it links me to some bar that wont recognise my code. Then when i try again, it opens up some other window called Bioware Checkout, and says that i have to buy an equalizer pack with bioware points? What the hell? I was promised free content!

The Equalizer Pack is not free. The stuff you see under Official DLC is all paid. Once your Cerberus code is activated, go to Profile -> Your registered game promotions to get the stuff that is free.
