She doesn't go to be a mage, that isn't possible. And what makes you think she's a child? There's nothing to suggest that.

Ahh Dagna,  she goes to study the theory of magic, writes some papers on it.   I would take a guess she's in her mid to late teens ..for the story.

And what makes me think she is a child is that she needs her parents permission to go study magic, so I would agree her teens too, which does qualify as a child.

Also the guy who said the mage in the closet made me laugh.

I think mine changes a lot based on Origin, but Rendon Howe has to be very near the top. He's just the guy you absolutely love to hate, and even when you kill him he leaves you with a parting verbal shiv that makes you go 'No, don't die yet! I need to stab you at least one more time while you are alive!'
