I was a good boy and bought the digital collectors edition, and for what?

I had no problem installing the dlc and both quests were a delight to play,  but then all of a sudden wardens peak is gone along with all my loot i got and stored there. And when i try to speak to Shale i'm teleported to a black screen with the option to "activate golem" and there's no way to get back, effectively breaking the game.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

And this problem just apperared out of the blue, I didn't install no broken patch or anything. People speculate that this is due to servers being down for maintenance awhile ago , can this really be true? Can the dlc system be so god damn stupid?

I'm 30 hours into this game and I was really enjoying it up until now.

It's really pissing me off that the stuf i pay EXTRA for ruins my game.

Please fix this now.

Yeah DLC is broken for a lot of people. I've had a few issues that could be fixed by reloading, but for some reason Levi is still in my camp even though I've finished the questline, and he refuses to leave.

You have every right to be angry and upset. If it helps, Bioware has stated they are aware of the DLC problems (in addition to others), and they say they are working hard to fix it. I hope it is true, because then the forums will have more actual game discussion and less ranting and raving.

If you don't want to pay for bugs, do not buy video games.

Well the game itself seems  fine, it's the extra content that is not working. Considering how sceptical people were with the dlc to begin with, the least you'd expect is that it's tested enough to not actually BREAK your game.

How is it that with Video Games now 30+ years old, people like yourself can not understand the most basic aspects of programing and debuggin code?

Just because you have a particular bug does not mean that everyone is experiencing the same problem.  Some people are, and some people are not.

Just becuase there is a bug does not mean the game was not tested, or was tested poorly.  Bugs will happen.  Software can be out for years, and still have new bugs being detected.

No testing lab in the world can replace real world users for finding code issues.

If you find a bug, post about it, and preferably in detail.

But complaining about a bug, yelling and screaming and generally acting alike an ass will always get you exactly the same result online as it will offline.  Ignored at best, or put in your place at worst.

Sounds like they're working on it. Presumably not too many people are having difficulties or the forums would be buried. Um.

Check and make sure the DLC is still activated in the DLC menu.

well please prey tell? is it because most of us arent  computer nerds?

Where did i claim that everyone is experiencing the same problem? You see I mostly care about my own. I wouldnt be here complaining about someone elses problems, that would be as stupid as hanging hanging out here defending the bugs...

Oh! I guess it's allright then...thank your bioware for letting me test your game for bugs

dunno if you been there, but in the real world it's almost always the yelling and screaming customer that gets the best deal, the quiet and timid are run over

I just started having this exact same problem after finishing Orzammar.

I also get a black screen when I try to talk to Shale. So, does anyone have a solution for this problem, or are we just going to have to live with this error every time I try to talk to Shale.

This happened to me too... it was caused by my use of the AddParty console command.

No, it was a bug that was found after release.  Bioware is aware and is fixing the problem.  Head over to the tech support forum to give them as much as info as possible, because this will help them.

Anyways, the fact is, many bugs never reveal themselves till after release, cause it is improbable for a developer to test and find all bugs without having the game delayed for several years just for bug testing.  No developer would still be in business if they had to make sure it is bug free.

Obviously it has something to do with the game and nothing on your end because clearly nobody else can play the game.

FYI digital downloads are LOL.  Good luck ever getting reinbursed if something goes wrong with your digital copy.  Always buy a physical copy.

Umm, what?  I have never seen a store give a refund on an opened box game.  But I have recieved a full refund from Steam on a game that was unplayable on my computer for some strange reason.  I had to send money to get CD/DvD replaced a few times for my physical copies, never have to do that with digital copies.

I ran into a couple of random crashes but i suspect that it may be due to a rammed override folder, apart from slowish loads (rather faster as of 1.01b for me) I cant say anything other than some textures has gone wrong, it runs like a dream :)

That's so lol worthy. It's almost like watching a car full of nude and drunk cheerleaders drive off a wall into a big pool of chocolate pudding.

Do I get to clean that mess up?

Also I had both dlc bugs on my game and still yet to get a reply from EA tech support after 10 days lol.
