Would new LIs in ME3 be a bad thing?

I ask this because there are those who could make for some very moving dialogue/scenes and character growth. Udina is the perfect example. He's one of the most misunderstood characters in Mass Effect and gets too much undeserving hate. Picture this:
Over the course of ME3, there's a lot of interaction between both Male and FemShep and Anderson and Udina. Knowing regardless of having beaten the odds twice already, he/she may very well die when going face to face so to speak with the Reapers. Slowly through finally getting to know him, Udina realizes, albeit a little bit too late, what a hero Shepard is. He not only regrets treating Shepard horrible, but many other demons from his past. In a bitter sweet climatic end, where choosing Udina over any other previous LIs of Shepard, Udina breaks down and confides in Shepard all his fears and sadness and we see a very different side of him, that of an empty shell. We are then subsequently shown a beautiful exchange between Udina and MaleShep/FemShep:

Shepard-Donnel. Be alive with me tonight.

EDIT:Whoops. My bad. Forgot to add a kernel of serious thought. :P

Wouldn't be opposed to flings like Kelly or Shiara, by throwing new ones in like Emily Wong, for main LIs though I think Bioware should focus on evolving the established ones.

I just imagined Udina and FemShep, ... that is going to be one sleepless night ... *shudder*

Anyway, I would vote for not including new LI in Mass Effect 3, ... at least no new Characters created for that in specific. Rather, one should get new chances with already existing Characters, though Udina isn't really my choice of LI to be honest ...

Requesting brain bleach.

As for your question in the title, the chance that there will be new squad members and new LIs are pretty high, considering they want to accomodate newcomers to the franchise. Or they just keep the current set and give them 2 sets of dialoge, making them as emotionless as a sack of cement, to make ME3 not "overly referential".

We currently have, what, 9? All of them should be expanded on in ME3 and that leaves no room for any more.

And thank God for that.

New LIs, maybe..

My opinion though, just bring all the other ones back. Either you continue on with them, switch up, or choose one if you haven't yet, or ignore them all again if you want.

It's win-win....win-win.

If this were allowed, kelly would schedule a love-in on the normandy as a crew stress reliever. Scale itch only works if everyone already has it...

Damn it man, control yourself! You already guaranteed Udina Femshep fan fics we don't need Elcor Femshep ones. Or, oh dear God mental image, Maleshep ones.

I would say no, but

if they decide not to rekindle the ME1 romances in the third, then i would be a bachelorette having been faithful to Kaidan through the second, so new LI's would be required to make up for that

I know I am going to fangirl-hell for this but ... what about a Kaidan-FemShep-Garrus sandwich?

I'm leaning yes it would be a bad thing.(the whole resources/ ME2 romance weak sauce bit)

I'm curious to see if they(bioware) are serious about Shiala or if they're just teasing.

Fact: Udina breaks into tears mid-coitus.

THAT'S HOW IT WORKS.

I don't know how I feel about adding new LI's to ME3. I would like to think that most if not all of ME2's squadmates will be back for ME3 and the same can be said for Ashley/Kaiden and Liara, adding more squadmates to that list would probably do more harm than good to ME3. I would prefer it if Bioware concentrated more on quality rather than quantity when it comes to ME3 squadmates. I want more better charcter development, more dialogue options, more converstations, more meaningful romances and steamier sex scenes. adding more characters into the mix means that Bioware will proably spread themselves too thin and drop the ball somewhere along the line.

I think there was one, one post that made me lol and die inside was the udina romance ending scene where he said at the end "send your fleet in". With a male shep btw.
