IMO the DLC isn't that fun and is just eating space. If I delete it will it cripple my old saves I have completed the mission on?

I had an internet connectivity issue for a few months with my x-box, and Bring Down the Sky rendered my saved games unplayable as long as the game couldn't connect to the Live service. It would just say the content wasn't available and refuse to load the saved game. Incredibly frustrating as this was just before Mass Effect 2 was released and I wanted to replay to refresh my memory of the first game.

I would love to know a way to delete that stuff, or at least make it unnecessary for gameplay.
