Seems there's a version mismatch because of this(DLC version listed in RED) on the DLC page. Its looping at 100%.

I tried the DLC work around stuff but it wont work either. (BTW that is pure hell to go through and ridiculous).

So basically I cant get the extra content I paid for at this point. Im not happy.

Um.

Relogging doesnt change the DLC content version mismatch with the current game's patched version.

They need to change the DLC to update with the patch.

This is very frustrating because basically, the almost extra 50 bucks I spent was for things I can't access to start my first character with.

Im rather disappointed with Bioware's handling of this.

There's a couple of things you can try: Navigate to the configure program goto repair and clear the download cache.

If that doesn't work you'll have to go a step further:

Navigate to:

\\Users\\yourname\\Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age

Delete the Contents of the Offers folder and the contents of the addins folder.

In the settings folder delete addins manifest and offers .xml

Clear your cache in the configurator again. Log back into the game and you'll have to redownload the dlc but it should work. I noticed it would get hung up if I exited the game before the download would finish.

Did that already and did not work.

None of this worked.  Still shows the DLC collector pack in red as version 1 and the patch is of course 1.01

It still loops at 100% extracting.

Hmm try this perhaps:

Run the Dragon Age Launcher, Click Configure, click Repair, then click "Clear Download Cache"

Also, try going into the configuration tool and under repair is an option to clear DL Cache, this worked for me. It takes it a little bit to up date once you are in the Main menu scree. then it should be fine.

LOL, did not see post above this one LOL

Can you link a screenshot of what you're seeing?  I haven't seen the version mismatch thing personally, and am curious as to what it is exactly showing.

Sigh.

So nothing worked so I uninstalled the game. Reinstalled. I managed to get the collectors set stuff to download but now they wont install and its just looping there now attempting to install. I even put the 1.0.1a patch on it after the looping with still no change. Frustrating.

With regards to the version mismatch when you click the collector pack and it throws up the description to the right side, it says required game version: and 1.0 is listed in red.

So, Im stuck with the crap at least downloaded this time but going no where otherwise. Im going on 2 days now unable to get these items to get in the game and thus not being able to start playing as I wanted.

This whole thing is just a complete fiasco.

I thought I made that clear from the title, and the first post in the thread that I'd patched initially dlc'd and still was stuck.  Not helpful.

If it's actually trying to install maybe you just don't have valid permissions?. Have you tried running the game as admin or alternatively taking control of the folders it installs to?
