For the life of me I can't find these models.

If you load the area layout dend00d, can you tell me what the castle models are please?

In particular, I can't identify the towers, the walls, the archways, doors.

The only thing I can find are the stairs, which are model tci_lrgstair_01. Sadly, none of the other models in the stairs palette category vaguely resemble the models used in that area.

Here is a link to a screenshot:

Found it.

Wasn't listed on the Area Layouts pdf, so I'd simply never seen it before.

For future reference, download the .lvl files from this project:

http://social.biowar...m/project/1331/

Then when you want to know what set of models an area uses, open up the corresponding .lvl and select the models. You can even copy/paste models across two different opened levels.

This is especially useful when placing detail props (like tables, food, tools and veggies in a garden, all that small stuff), since you don't have to scroll through the god awful models palette.

You mean to say they released the level files? Oh wow. I had no idea. Thanks.

I just want to add that several threads were started to have the devs release their level art. I was one who simply gave up trying to design areas without at least the level art. How did they get released with such non-fanfare? I checked the release thread, and it wasn't even started by a dev. And no sticky!

I'm glad they released their art...I mean, those guys are worth the money. It's a big help to finally be able to sift through their levels. But for 6 months I've been avoiding Dragon Age largely because of their inaccessibility, amongst other things.

The upside is that they are released...Biodev level designers are flat out amazing. That said, I've always felt like the areas in the OC never utilised their space well enough...massive swathes of areas simply left unexplorable.

Anyways.
For some reason, formatting has stopped working in this post. Sorry for the block. And now it's back.

For future reference, the wiki list can be really helpful when trying to quickly browse models:

Yep, that's the list I've always used and am quite familiar with. So familiar that I'd assumed it was the totality of all models available. It's not, unfortunately, and the models in my screenshop are from a category of models that is not featured on the wiki. Hence my confusion :)
