I haven't played ME1 for a few months... got a new Xbox and all... but when I went through this past game the level capped at 50!! Is this a glitch or did BW change the cap for some reason on the first game.

It sucks because you don't get all the bonuses for importing into ME2.

It's 60 for second playthrough only

You have to beat the game once to unlock levels 51-60.

I've gotten to 60 before on old Xbox... but this Xbox capped at 50 and I still hadn't done the Virmere mission or the Geth missions. I wasn't getting experience points or anything after fifty. And I've gotten to lvl 56 on one playthrough before. I was just curious if BW had put a cap on the first game.

Nope... gotten to lvl 53-56 at times on one playthrough. Or is what you are talking about something new? Haven't played ME1 in a while.

You can get there in one pt, but only AFTER your first (ever). You have to beat the game once to unlock 50-60. After that you can get to the higher levels even in one pt.

Baal... wouldn't the new system pick up the achievements for already beating the game once? My profile still lists all the achievements when I check it.

hm, yeah that should be the case. I thought you were on a different XBox or a different profile. Did you change your HDD or something lately?

You need to beat to game once, not do NG+. Doesn't matter when you've beaten it

New xbox... but recovered profile to new system. It registers all the old achievements still. If that is the case then it should allow me to continue on without stopping at 50 right?

No. You have to beat the game again. All information regarding if you've beaten the game is in your hard drive.

Ok... new issues!!!

First... forgive my ignorance, but what is NG+?

Second... I went through and played more, getting a saved career at level 59 and then after third playthrough a save for level 60.

When I try to use ME2 Importer it does not give me the option to choose as it used too on my old hard drive. It defaults to the lvl 50 character import. The lvl 59 and lvl 60 characters do not show up. Hell... it automatically loads the lvl 50 char without even giving me the option.

When I start ME1 it gives me the option for lvl 59 and lvl 60 chars but they won't import into ME2. And why does the Importer default to my first end game save at 50? Before getting new xbox it allowed me to choose which end save to import.

I'm very confused and just a tab bit frustrated here. Any help on resolving this issue would be great. I've tried turning on and off... and I even deleted all of the DLCs and tried to import with a clean slate. Same thing happens. It defaults to lvl 50 ME1 save without the option to choose.

Yeah you got 54....but others got more (level 57 first playthrough). You need to do another playthrough to get level 60.
