I was wondering if the Conrad Verner bug has been fixed. You know the one where in ME2 he claims you shoved a gun in his face even though you chose the Paragon route. Also there is an issue concerning the Sirta Foundation, in which it says there was a massacre when I saved everyone. If anyone has any info on these issues or knows if there is a way to fix them, I could certainly use the help.Image IPB

Hmmm, interesting... I'm also curious why the news reports that the Asari consort is resigning due to a scandal involving information leaks even though I cleared her name in the first game.

I've been wondering the same thing. I was nice to Conrad and saved everyone at Sirta.

The game has a lot of bugs.. it's like Bioware's QA team was too busy eating Cheetos and drinking Dr.Pepper.

The game doesn't really have any problems in comparison to ME1 or any other game. They fixed pretty much every complained about aspect in the first game with ME2. Complaining about bugs in ME2 is like asking how many rocks are there....

As far as the topic goes, I don't think it's been fixed in any of their patches.

That's why when I go to get a brew from the bar on Illium, Shepard is half way into the counter top.

Be nice to have a Bioware rep respond. It would give a better answer to my question. My apologies if that sounds rude.

I just figured that was how the news would report it or how the consort leaking story would be no matter what and conrad verner is just an exagerator. I didnt think it was a bug.

And what is that supposed to ruin the game for someone? Seriously, compared to some of the issues ME1 had the game is carpet ride. I've experienced problems very rarely, and nothing that made me want to turn the game off. Your essentially complaining about tech issues, that virtually every game that has every come out has had.

Fact is Bioware took every part of the game that its community complained about and either fixed it or removed it. This isn't Alpha Protocol, so saying it has "a lot of bugs" is quite ridiculous in my opinion.

I'm complaining about story issues, if my Shepard chose Paragon route, I want that to reflect when I import to ME2. The Verner bug and Sirta Foundation bugs need to be fixed please.

I don't see how this is a major bug. It's information related to a side quest that was optional. It's a bug but nothing that affects the playablility of either game. Would be nice to have it fixed, but it's such a small part, I would rather Bioware work on DLC or ME3 instead.

I'm confused about when you find Conrad Verner in ME2 when he said that I shoved a gun in his face when I chose the paragon path, mabey it's just a glitch that mabey if you did choose renegade the talking option's still there or something and about the Asari consort I clearded her name with the Elcore yet she is resigning do to some scandelism and accusations or something.

Anyone like to clarify?Image IPB

It's bugged and Bioware doesn't give a rat's ass since its not 'game breaking' so don't expect a fix any time soon.Image IPB

On a tangential (and slightly humorous) note, if you go to the Citadel BEFORE going to Omega in ME2 and cycle through all the Galactic News announcements, one soundbyte will say that eyewitnesses have seen Shepard alive on Omega...even though you haven't gone to Omega yet. Clearly the game expects you to have gone to Omega first. I'm just going to explain this one away as vorcha on drugs or something.

I don't know anything about the other two situations mentioned, but after looking at a freshly imported savegame in an editor, I am led to believe that its a ME1 bug rather than ME2. For some reason the Conrad Verner quest, when completed, sets both the Persuaded Conrad and Intimidated Conrad Flags, rather than just the right one. So unless Bioware decides to do another patch for ME1 I don't think this will be fixed.

Of course there is the possibility that ME2 is mucking the flags up after import but that seems more unlikely.

What happens if you intimidate him? If that flags just intimidated (I vaguely recall some one writing it did but I'm not sure) then it should be easy enough for BW to fix in ME2.

ME1 has some awful bug issues including some biggies that are likely to catch most people out in some way (power wheel glitch on Liara) and not only have they never been patched, they were known issues on the Xbox version and ported right over onto the PC. In contrast ME2 has a lot less bugs but its clear that BioWare aren't that bothered about fixing anything above the minimum they can get away with. Hopefully they will take bug fixing much more seriously with ToR or Blizzard will have nothing to worry about.

Shepard solved the issue between the Consort and Septimus/Zeltan, there could have been other "leaks" altho the corperal (sp) in the Embassy bar thought that "she would be thrown out the nearest airlock."

Also, recently, I started a new game (to play Overlord), and after picking up Kasumi, I went to Omega to pick up Zaeed and buy equipment, and then immediately left again without even talking to Aria, amd I got the email from Doctor Michel talking about Garrus.

LOL, when of course you hadn't even recruited Garrus yet. I think the things you and I encountered aren't so much bugs, as much as they are the expected flow of the game clashing with the different ways we choose to play it. BioWare can't conceive of every possible way to play and plan for it, after all, and I don't expect them to.

The Sirta Foundation quest is difinately bugged in ME 1. After completing it with no casaulties, I went back to the Citadel to do a little shopping and was treated to a radio broadcast in the elevator detailing how it was a massacre and Sirta Foundation was floundering because of it. :pinched:

I also wondered about the Verner quest in ME2, since I was nice to him as a paragon in ME1. Yeah, it was slightly disappointing, but hardly something to ruin the game for me. Both games are classics.

Now I never thought that the Consort news feed in ME2 was a mistake; it has been two years since Shepard helped her out, and it's pretty obvious, given her line of business, that scandals were a dime a dozen for her.

At any rate, I hope Bioware acknowleges some of these issues and fixes them, but as I said before, if it's not game breaking, then a fix is very unlikley.

Is the sirta foundation quest where some gangster lady tells you to kill some of her competitors?
