Play Mass Effect and skip ME2.

Do not listen to this troll. He is a full time ME2 hater.

ME2 ain't no Citizen Kane. It's perfefctly reasonable to hate/dislike it.

Of course it's reasonable to dislike the game. But you constantly lurk the forums and bash the game. Which is also known as trolling. If you don't like the game then stop coming to the forums. BioWare has heard you complain enough.

This is the BioWare Social Network, not the Mass Effect 2 Love-in Fan Club.

Wow. You responded to my post in less than a minute. I guess you literally do spend all your time lurking here and bashing the game.

Don't be silly. There's a neat little post update feature on the site.

questions:

Is it just jack's dossier and the awakening mission, or does it have the normandy prologue and freedom's progress in it as well?

When you load your demo playthrough, where does it start off from, do you still have jack recruited when you start up? or does it just restart at the beginning like you're doing a second playthrough import?

just jack recruitment and awakening. the only thing that imports is the awakening, so you talk to TIM after and do Freedom's progress, etc.

Play Mass Effect and skip ME2.

disagree

skip both and skip to GoW2 instead.  too many droolers flaming each other on which damsel in distress is better to <3 over in their romance playa game ((rpg for short)).  :sick:

The guy is clearly going to buy ME2 according to the post. He's question is just about whether to add ME1.
Answering with "skip ME2" is clearly a "doesn't want to help" behavior.

all of you people calling Bioware sellouts are imbeciles! The games has sold just fine at about 1.8 Million copies sold in 5 months compared to 2.2 Million copies of mass effect 1 sold in 3 years. They are both fantastic games and you cant blame Bioware for trying to pump some life back into ME2 so that everyone will at least try the demo then say "Wow" i can get this game for 40.00$ that's an amazing deal. i suggest you trolls leave before i get my level 30 renegade Shepard to blow your asses away!

I prefer a late demo that is like the real deal (although demo exclusive levels are nice) because then there's no "Will this be fixed in final game?". When I see a screen saying "promotional item, everything is subject to change" it makes the demo pretty moot.

I for one am very happy about this demo.

I've been wondering if I'd enjoy the ME series for a while now, because I find the game world and the lore intrigiung and the concept of creating a character who progresses through several games has great appeal to me (loved that in the Baldur's Gate series). But I'm usually not into action-packed shooter games and judging from gameplay videos at YouTube, it was hard to decide if I'd enjoy ME despite the fact that it seemed to be very combat and action oriented.

Now, after having played the first part of the demo (and the character creation, which I like a lot), I'm quite sure that I will buy the game. As a matter of fact, I'll buy both ME1 & 2, because I want to experience the complete story arc that is available at this point.

So, good job on releasing the demo, Bioware, you sold two more games and I found a new toy. :wizard:

Im not sure if im in the right place but I cant get the demo to start on my Alienware computer.  I can click the configure button and adjust all the settings, but when I click play, nothing happens.  I have reset everything to default and rebooted computer and I still get nothing when I click play....

Any ideas would be appreciated...
