I haven't been watching. Is there anything new on the new mortal kombat game (besides that "meh" trailer)?

Not yet Ghost. Not yet.

When does the EA portion of the show begin?

I mean Bioware specifically.

I could have sworn we were speaking English ere. I don't think I'd be able to understand if we weren't. Are you saying I should type with a cockney accent? I can try, I guess...

I just performed as Harry in My Fair Lady a couple months ago... cockney accent is a bunch of fun. :D
...I don't like this new 360. Looks too much like the original with all the jagged edges. And is it made out of that cheap shiny plastic? Or is it just polished? Because it looks like the chinsey stuff...

I found E3 entirely unimpressive this year. All that matters is SWTOR :D

Who are you and what did you do with Rubbish Hero?

lol!

Okay just wanted to put my two cents in here,  WHY OH WHY...is there no mention of DA or ME today at that conference.    I was highly disappointed.

So the silence (long periods of it I might add)  has migrated to the E3 event.     EA too busy promoting its sports games,  fitness games, and oh yeah..THE SIMS.

What about the rest of us that don't have any interest in that gaming sector?

This is not good,  it makes me think that things are not working out well for Bioware.   Somebody "official" please spill the beans.

(I know that's a pipe dream ..but hey)

For the PC gamer, I find the E3 to be relatively unimpressive so far. Kinect and Move are attempts to draw the casuals into gaming, and the games... well... there aren't that impressive. Medal of Honor's multiplayer looks like a rendition of Bad Company 2's multiplayer... Crysis 2... not terribly excited, will wait for a price drop on that one...

I am looking forward to 2011 already.

So far, there are only a few things I'm excited about. Kinect seems extremely interesting, but its usage was totally wrong at the conference. It would have appealed to gamers even more if it was used in conjunction with an action game, not dancing and fitness games. I mean, I'm sure it has more potential than "just dancing".

Now, I have to admit, I thought that Kinectimals or whatever was interesting. It was kind of cool how she could play with the tiger and teach it tricks and such. I predict it will sell A HELL OF A LOT because it will appeal to a LOT of people.

Nevertheless, Kinect looks to be extremely interesting, but not enough has been shown. If the price is above a hundred, however, there will be issues.

Most of Microsoft's conference seemed to be focused around Kinect, but Halo: Reach was an interesting game, as well as Gears of War 3. Those both looked to be extremely promising shooter titles, and Fable 3 looks to be utterly badass. Let us just hope Molyneux doesn't make promises he can't keep.

Now, onto the Ea conference...

It was probably the most interesting of them all, with Need for Speed, Dead Space, Star Wars: The Old Republic, and much more. The "Old Republic" trailer was more kickass than the Decieved trailer. I mean, that Jedi totally did hadouken on that Sith, man. That was epic.

Dead Space 2 looks promising, but not incredibly promising. It is good news for Need For Speed to really return to its roots, not some street racing, rap music ****. Bulletstorm looked great as well.

Ubisoft's conference basically sucked. The only things I was interested in was Future Soldier, Brotherhood, and...

RAYMAN! The greatest platformer on the Playstation has returned. HELL YEAH!

and...maniaplanet looked promising with being able to produce games. Especially the RPG-Creator one...what was it? Questmania?

Anyways, it's been a fairly decent E3, but nothing insanely awesome yet...We can only hope.

I've watched Microsoft, EA and Ubisoft. Microsoft's conference felt like they were playing it safe compared to the elaborate production they put together last year. I was more surprised by the new 360 apparently shipping this week than pretty much everything else in their presentation. EA had some bright spots(MoH beta announcement, Bad Company 2 expansion, Old Republic trailer) but not too much beyond that. Ubisoft was pretty weak(exception being Ghost Recon and the Assassin's Creed Brotherhood trailer) and left me feeling that the french are odd.

I do look forward to Tuesday's conferences. Good bad or otherwise, I like when there is a flood of video game news like this.

There were some horrible spots (most of Ubisoft's conference, Velveteen and Lollip0p, a lot of the Kinect games) there were also a few standouts (Hope trailer, Ray-Man, Crysis 2) and I even liked Shaun White Skateboarding and think Kinect showed some promise (it's at least a better version of Wii Fit and while Kinectimals looked like it was for kids, it was pretty technically impressive).

Day one was somewhat of a let down. The only things that interested me were Metal Gear Solid: Rising, Dead Space 2, Crysis 2 and SWTOR.

Kinect is going to fall on it's face. Gamestop has it listed at $149.99. While no offical statement has been made on the price, if it is around that price, then it will fail. Why would any family spend 150 on something, when they can buy a Wii for almost that much. Or, why would they buy a bundle pack for 400-450? I was talking to a friend at work tonight, who mostly plays sports games and CoD...and he said he would be willing to buy it and try it, if it was a little more than a normal game...say around 70-80 dollars.

Also, I think both Sony and MS are getting into the game way too late. Too many familys already own Wii's...and the games we saw today for Kinect, are basically Wii games they redid in a sense. The animal game...Wii has one. The adventure game or sports games? Wii has those too.

Sony and Nintendo are up tomorrow...I expect Sony to talk about the rumored pricing plan for PSN, and Nintendo to show the new Zelda. Other than that...kinda disappointing E3 so far.

Well, the G4 guys covering E3 said right after the MicroSoft conference that if the Kinect hardware is anything more than $100, then they'll have priced themselves right out of the market that they're aiming for(that being the casual, Wii-loving market). I agree with them completely. If the Kinect his triple digits in price, it's going to be a monumental failure.

Well they did get a good idea with the new Xbox 360 it looks cool and has some great features

Kinect does need a price drop before it can appeal to the right market

What do you posters think will be revealed today? I am hoping for the RB3 setlist (they did the same thing with RB2 2 years ago) and of course whatever BioWare, Valve, and Bethesda announce

You have any idea when Bioware and Bethesda's conferences take place? I cant find any listings for them.
I'm hoping for Elder Scrolls 5 and maybe a small ME3 tidbit. Although I mostly want KOTOR3, I know it wont happen though :crying:.
