Actress Angelina Jolie plans to star in a new Biopic of Cleopatra.

The film will be adapted from the forthcoming biography, Cleopatra: A Life, by Stacy Schiff. Though the book has yet to be published, producer, Scott Rudin, has already secured the rights.

According to Schiff, Jolie will be perfect for the role. “I can see a possible Oscar. Physically, she’s the perfect look,” she said.

“The movie is developed for and with Jolie,” said a spokesperson for Rudin.

Rudin has already considered having Jolie’s partner, Brad Pitt, play Mark Antony to replicate the 1963 Cleopatra, starring Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton.

The 1963 version of Cleopatra is reported to have been one of the most expensive films ever made. The film cost more than $44m. Today that amount is equivalent to more than $300m.

The script for the new film is already underway.

If it's about a celeb........it's not derail..
But Although I agree with you....she did good an Alexander (Though the movie was terrible) as that kind of character.

Grindhouse was great. The most memorable segment was the Mexican Machete preview. I'm so happy they are actually making it into a movie. It's the role of a lifetime for Danny Trejo!
