I'm still hoping in vain that Kaidan will come back and be open to romance from either character. Perhaps that two years separation from M!Shep will break through that bromance barrier! XD
I'm with you on that
As far as I am concerned, and as has been discussed numerous times in this thread and elsewhere, just because someone says they fell in love with a girl when they were young does not mean the same as saying 'I fell in love with Rahna and I don't like men'. I'm not saying that because he didn't say he doesn't like men that that was some implicit acknowledgement of being bi, just that what it
wasn't was an explicit statement of only being straight. There is a difference. We all know that if BW want to write something, or someone, in a different way for the purposes of their storytelling and plot, they will find a way (DA2 being a case in point much discussed at the moment re: Anders, for example; I could also mention the sudden inclusion of Garrus and Tali as romance options in ME2). So if (and I'm the first to admit it's a bloody big if) the writers decided to bring ANY previous character in as a love interest for either gender, they will find a way to do so that doesn't break any lore, doesn't break the game, and can be viewed as a realistic part of character development.
But as I said, it's a bloody big if, and I'm 99% sure it will never happen (but I would squeal with unparallelled joy if Kaidan and Ash returned as bi love interests, just so BW know

).
The most important thing I always want to get across in this thread, as always, is that there is a serious inequality at present in the way femShep can be involved in a f/f relationship (several, in fact, if you loosely define 'relationship), but no such m/m options exist, in any way, shape or form, for manShep. THAT is the biggest problem I have with all of this, and my love of Kaidan is merely secondary.
