Kind of a slap to the face.

So how do you guys feel?
I mean you've been teased with same sex romances since game 1.
Ashley/Kaiden was supposed to be for both sexes, but they never were.
Thane/Jack were supposed to be for both sexes, but that was canned as well.
You are, for lack of better words, being cock teased.
I hope you guys can get to enjoy the romances too. I know you can just play as a female Shepard, but it isn't the same and does not make for proper roleplaying. You should be allowed to be role play to same way as everyone else, but according to your prefrences.
Maybe a strongly worded letter? To Bioware. Not EA. EA would remove romances to avoid this in the future. Then again Bioware has been pretty mad lately with their whole, "IT'S NOT A DATING SIM!"
If you do try a(nother) strongly worded letter than I hope it isn't worded too strongly. Perhaps persausive letter would be more appropriate.

The letter, I started writing it a few weeks ago. I must get back to it actually.

If however they did not plan to have [same-sex romances] in ME3, by this time it should already be too late to add them and so Bioware could confirm that they are not in and save everyone here months of hopeing and looking forward for this feature.

The most frustrating thing for me is the silence before relaese regarding this issue. I understand that they can not say if they are trying to include s/s romances since if the s/s romances have to be cut shortly before release for one reason or another it would cause some upset here (and by extention on the whole gaming related internet). If however they did not plan to have them in ME3, by this time it should already be too late to add them and so Bioware could confirm that they are not in and safe everyone here months of hopeing and looking forward for this feature. But what we will get is a "We are not talking about romances yet" like we always get and so will remain uncertain until the first players get their hands on theior copies.

But the DA dev team at least told us their was going to be s/s options (and even specified m/m) without telling us who they were.
I am not asking for a detailed description of a possible m/m LI. I do not want any more information on the availability of an m/m LI, than there was given for a multiplayer feature in the currently discussed prieview.ElitePinecone wrote...
I don't think it's unrealistic for Bioware to be silent about some parts of the story (squadmates, for instance) in order to preserve some of the mystique and (dare I say it) hype for ME3. Of course it'd be nice if we got a definitive "yes or no" answer, but for the moment I'm not too troubled.
That being said, this thread is reasonably prominant in the ME forums and at least we know someone at Bioware is occasionally glancing in (see a few pages back, for example). It's not like this issue is being totally ignored.

They might as well shoot the hope down sometime at E3 to let gay players down gently. They were utterly silent about it in ME2 and that's what made the disappointment so much more painful.
You can decide Shepard's view on aliens and the Galaxy and how (s)he interacts with other characters. You can decide what (s)he finds ethical and the methods (s)he prefers. You can decide his/her attitude in all situations. You can basically make FemShep hot for Asari and Kelly, but no men whatsoever.
Yet for some reason, (s)he's a "pre-defined" character. That's what I like to call selective reading on Bioware's part.

Yes. You're right. It is unfair.
