I can't help it. You post a link I'm gonna look. And he knows that. I did it to myself I get it.It's sad. I don't need you to point it out to me.

Oh honey, it makes me sad to think you're so upset at the very possibility of another person in another house in another town, maybe even on another continent, being able to pursue a same-sex relationship in the game. Why so worried? You wouldn't have to touch it. You may have some issues not being able to resist clicking links on an internet forum, but do you also have those same issues not being able to resist clicking on dialogue options that lead to homosexual content? Just can't help yourself?

Why do you want to be the only person who gets what they want? Honey, that's just not nice, you know.

not sure if this is even vaguely related or not, but here goes...
just points out that Garrus should be a Mshep option, in my opinion ;)

Voting on the rights of a minority is always a great idea. That's how slavery is legalized, after all.

That was brilliant, and shouldn't have been left out of the game.

Bioware really screwed up DA2 with everyone being bi. Sorry, it's the truth. They should have done the same thing they did in DAO, some bi some straight and if they make Kaidan bi, I'll never buy another Bioware game again. I'm already in the not buy another Dragon Age game again. Kiadan/Ashley are the two people they shouldn't even consider making bi/gay. They can make many others bi/gay. Don't ruin it for those of us who truly like Kaidan and Ashley.

Also in DA2, who wants to find out that the character you're in a relationship did some guy who's 30 yrs older than he is.  Uggh.  At least with Fenris, you get the feeling that it wasn't a choice if you're playing a female Hawke.  He was a slave and was forced into it.  For Anders, it was his choice.

Bioware, if you are reading this, DON'T DO IT TO KAIDAN AND ASHLEY.  I'M BEGGING YOU.

In your opinion. And Kai/Ash were originally designed to be bisexuals.

I'm sorry, but those two characters are not your exclusive private property. They are mine as well, as they are the property of every person who bought the game.

I disagree with the idea that if a person gets out of the closet, that person is RUINED. I also doubt "truly like" means "like as long as they feel attracted only to the kind of people I personally find acceptable".

No sweetie, it's 'your' truth. It's not mine.

You're awfully worked up about this. You don't want your precious Kaidan or Ashley to be available to be romanced by someone of the wrong gender? Why does it matter to you so much? You claim ownership on their characters to such a degree that the bare thought of another player being able to do the dirty with your beloved in their game, even if you never have to see it? That's pretty sad, you know.

Time for me to say "I'm sorry, but ..." .... your post is just dripping with ignorance and intolerance. Anders had a relationship with an older man (don't know where you're pulling 30yrs from lol), and that's worthy of an 'ugh'? My mother is in a stable and loving relationship with someone 11 years her senior. It's a beautiful thing. And on to Fenris -- it's okay for him to swing both ways because "he was forced into it"? Take a breath and have a think about how disgustingly offensive that is. To LGBTQ people and to victims of rape.

Actually, just stop and take a breath period.

As long as I don't have to play as male Shepard just for a single achivement or more, then I support it.

Constant hetrosexuality in games is so boring, letting the player define their character by their choices when it comes to romance is more interesting.

1) I don't know who this Kiadan is, but he sounds hot. If he is a gay/bi LI in ME3, then I am all for that. :D

2) So by your own statement, all of the LI in ME3 could be gay/bi except for Ashley/Kaidan. Your reasoning for how it would ruin them is....what exactly? That Ashley/Kaidan weren't gay/bi before so they shouldn't be now? Every LI from ME2 fits that logic, yet you're perfectly fine with that? Or is it just that you like them and don't like to share? If it's the idea that they weren't gay/bi before, it's not like people, oh I don't know, come out of the closet or realize their sexuality is different from what they thought. Yeah, that never happens.

3) Why does a LI's sexual history or age mean anything in the context of the romance, or of romance in general? Isabela has slept with countless men/women/elves/cross-dressing dwarves and who knows what else. Does her sexual history stop Hawke from being able to pursue her? No it does not. Do people like the Isabela romance even though she has a tendency to sleep with everything? I don't know, but I did. How about Merrill? She is a dalish elf, and they are supposed to have longer lifespans than humans. For all you know she could be 15 years older than Hawke. Does that make a difference? It didn't for me. Karl does look older than Anders yes, but so what? Some people like older people or older looking people. I can make Hawke look like the crypt keeper and yet Anders will still, not only find Hawke attractive, but comment on it. You can't argue taste.

Bioware, if you are reading this, please don't exclude s/s romance from ME3.

1150 members in the Fight for the Love group now. Glad to know people are still finding us and joining up, even though the group has been going for such a long time, and despite the fact we've been handed tough blows repeatedly.

Wait... is 'truly liking' a character the key to getting what we want? I truly liked Kaidan (and his "losing a limb" comment on Horizon, even if it was kind of stalkerish), so hot damn, bring on bi/gay Kaidan! Woo!

On an unrelated note, I concur that there shouldn't be an achievement based on a s/s romance specifically - maybe a return to the Paramour achievement, where any romance would do, if there was an achievement at all. I'm more than a little peeved that there were LI specific achievements in DA:O, and Morrigan's is going to remain undone in perpetuity...

No. No more than anything else that's put into a game which isn't used/liked by 50%+1 of overall gamers. IIRC, only a minority of gamers go full Renegade, hardly anyone (by comparison) uses the Engineer class, and it's almost certain that a minority of players chose to romance any one specific LI.

There are options for a reason, even if the majority of players never opt to use them. This option, s/s LIs for female and male characters, would provide that option for probably a minority of gamers, yes. But it'd provide an opportunity for some to see themselves in Shepard, and additional options for people who prefer different roleplaying options, at no cost for gamers who did not wish to pursue a s/s romance. Certainly no more cost than an o/s LI that any individual gamer chose not to pursue, anyway.

OMG, that's like, SO deep. I had no idea you had such an intimate knowledge of the demographics of Mass Effect players and such a clear idea of the amount of support such an initiative has.

Ply your wares elsewhere, child.

sorry, but I love Kaidan and Ashley and I would LOVE for them to be bi. The story in my signature is my canon femshep who romances Ashley anyway. Hell I'm a straight guy and I'd probbaly make a gay MShep for Kaidan just so I can say I got the most out of my ME games. It would be an OPTION, meaning you don't HAVE to take it, don't ruin the fun for others because you don't want to make a certain choice.

The game will be ruined...really?

Of all the possible ways the game could actually be ruined (and perhaps was ruined in ME2...like the whole Cerberus railroading thing ruined a lot of what I liked about the series and that was NOT OPTIONAL) this would just KILL IT for some people?
