For me, I would certainly start questioning the consistency and overall quality of my game if that happens. I view changing the LIs as unnecessary fan service. Also, I would then feel that the romances are no longer unique and have been cheapened. So yes, I would feell that my game was a bit ruined.

Having Tali hit on my MShep suddenly and without warning in ME2 RUINED IT ALL FOREVER.

Wait, no it didn't. *Ahem* Carry on, then.

Did for me.

"How can she help but fall in love with him?"

DO NOT WANT.

Oh wait...I could just reject her and move along right? Nah better to want it not to exist period. -_-

*Looks at Ramirez Wolfens signature graphics*

*Looks at his "unnecessary fan service" line again*

Uh, REALLY?

Don't ruin the game for others because you want to make a choice.

The way that ME2 was ruined for me because of the way it became All About Tali? Is that the degree of ruin we're talking here?

Pro Tip: If you are a card-carrying Talimancer, and you're arguing AGAINST changing existing characters to make them available for romance of any kind, you are talking through your hat.

@Siansonea II Look, what happened in ME2 happened so basically, "what's done is done."

But just because that happened doesn't mean this needs to happen.

What happened in ME2 =/= LIs being bisexual in ME3

So, if I could roll a FemShep in ME3 and romance Tali this means your Tali romance in your game would be ruined and cheapened and then so would the rest of the game by extension?

I see, you got your fan service and now you don't want anyone else to have it in this specific way?

NOT having the optional homosexual characters for ME-1 and -2 ruined the game for a lot of people.

Stop being a crybaby because of other people getting the same thing you're getting. Share your silly cake, already.
There are worse things.

Just thinking out loud here.

- I finally finished the game. The Tali romance was so fullfulling and well written and awesome. I'll play again just to pick different dialogue options and talk more with Tali, she is so unique and not in any way generic.

*one week later notices a video on youtube: someone has modded a save game and unlocked Tali for Femshep. The whole Femshep/Tali romance is watched.*

- Wow I remember that game I played a week ago. That Tali romance thing was awful, ****** poor written, it was so cheap and generic. I couldn't like it less. My experience of the romance has totally changed now that I am aware that other people can experience it.

Well isn't that conveeeenient.

So, you got what you wanted in ME2, the ability to make sweet, sweet love to Buckethead, in defiance of all logic, reason and existing character continuity, making the rest of us throw up as a result, and yet you don't think adding some options for other existing characters is the same exact thing? You can support the Talimance, but not any other "new character information". What's done is done, indeed, child.

Well, at least I can't say I'm surprised you feel that way.

Um....it was popular demand that had powered Tali and Garrus being romancable in ME2; for it's plusses, the second installment is full of fanservice; and having a bisexual LI in ME3 won't change anything either. Tali's and Garrus' romances were probably the best in the game, so the game certainly wasn't cheapened, and the same will be said if a male bisexual LI is added.

To me, Mass Effect has enough problems to the point where I'm already questioning the game and purchasing ME3. I don't want anything added to it.

Regardless of whether it was fan service or not (as ALL romances are fan service, just about everything is fan service), it doesn't equal making them bi in ME3.

So only Fan Service that suits your particular preferences are ok? Well, how exactly is that fair? You get your option, you get PLENTY of options. Why won't you allow me to have one if that only option turns out to be Kaidan?

@jademoon121 Actually, I've heard that Tali was originally written as an LI in ME1, but it was scrapped

Actually it does. People in ME1 wanted Tali to be romancable, they got it in ME2. People, since ME1, have beem clamouring for a male bi LI. People are already getting Ashely, Kaiden, Liara, Garrus, and (GASP) Tali, partly because of demand instead of the party members in ME2, so I don't see how having one, single, new male LI ruins it.

Well that's funny, because I heard (and saw on YouTube) that Kaidan and Ashley were originally written as LIs for either gender in ME1, so what exactly is your point?

So you're basically okay with every type of fanservice except homosexual content, because that would break your spirit completely?
Even though you won't experience the content whatsoever?

I'm a bit lost as to why this is an issue to you, since the availability of, uhm, let's say Miranda to other MaleSheps doesn't seem to bother you.

By the way, it's an established fact that RamWo thrives on attention, any kind of attention. Sort of like Jenna Maroney on "30 Rock". So just be aware that by entertaining his "innocent questions", we are giving him what we wants. And yes, I know I'm doing it too.

Yeah... and Ash and Kaidan were originally supposed to be bi in ME1 but it was scrapped.

You are not detracting from your hypocrisy.... you're adding to it.
