To me, Mass Effect has enough problems to the point where I'm already questioning the game and purchasing ME3. I don't want anything added to it.
Regardless of whether it was fan service or not (as ALL romances are fan service, just about everything is fan service), it doesn't equal making them bi in ME3.
Time changes people, characters are no different. I can remember a time when I thought all males were ugly, but I've since lightened up and can appreciate someone's good looks regardless of gender. The time from Me1 or 2 could change a character and realize they've got feelings forshepard regardless if they're male or female. Miranda is an OBVIOUS choice for being bisexual, since she has to learn EVERYTHING about Shepard, making it easy for her to possibly fall for them. Tali's romance is complete fanservice since she turns from a walking quarian encyclopedia to a Shepard stalker/fan girl without explanation!!!!!! Kelly's "the way she lights up when you walk into a room" line is like, um, she's wearing a helemt so you can't see her face, how do you know this! RETCON!!!! DEUS EX MACHINA!!!! PLOTHOLES!!! DO NOT WANT!!!! *presses eject button and destorys ME2 disc in a fit of rage*<-bet that didn't go through your mind sine the Tali fan base has been begging for her to be romance able because of hos her body is shaped. If it was base don character, it wouldn't ahve happened, since she says her people attacked the Geth first and got driven off their homeworld but it's the geths fault because they were getting smart. God forbid a sentient race of machines should become smart, let's attack them. oh no they were supreior and rebuffed our attacks, but it's their fault in the first place, no like we tried to negotiate first oh but have you seen my ass? doesn't it look so good???" non of the people seemed to have a problem with aliens, who aren't even biologically compatable with humans in the first place, becoming LI's but changing a character so taht they can be romancable by all players regardless of gender is bad? that's the lamest logic I've ever read.
