Then I think what they should do is take out Tali's romance in ME3 because it's not only a waste of resources but extremely jarring for a great deal of players who see its inclusion in ME2 as a game-breaking retcon. Never too late to fix your mistakes, right?

GAME BREAKING RETCON!?!?!?!
Dispite my outrage, this is not the place for this discussion. So stuff it.

I think your snark meter is borked. :P

Or perhaps it's so in-tune that my level of snarkiness super-cedes all others and has the ability to make even my appearance of a broken snark meter is actually a cleverly hidden snarky comment on the sad state of our community where insane talimancers rule all.

Unfortunatly,  homosexual characters have been dragged into the this whole fan service thing.  So,   I think it is a valid question.

Yes it is. And we've described the reasons why. You don't get to make a double standard of an argument and then ignore the parts that make you uncomfortable.

Please answer our points.

You can't claim bisexual options would be retcons and fanservice (making them bad) meanwhile giving Tali and Garrus a free pass for the same thing.

@Ryzaki I don't recall giving Tali and Garrus a free pass. I'm saying that discussing that is off-topic, as there is already another thread discussing this.

We've all also spent a few pages coming to the conclusion... or I say we, but it's really more of a generic "you" aimed at the opposition,.. that you need to have pretty darn solid reasons for thinking something (*cough-orfindingoutsomethingnewaboutyourselflikepotentialhomosexuality-cough*).
So please, indulge us.

Then you admit that Tali and Garrus are retcons and fanservice?

So why exactly is wrong with the bi options being similar?

We're specifically asking you to describe for us why it's different for Tali than for a bisexual LI.

It's a valid question in this thread in this context.

Please answer us.

yeah if tali was bi you could romance her with all your shepards!
Would u rather tali was bi, or that she dies at the start of ME3... (heh, BW should use that kind of threat actually)

@Cootie I don't buy the "findingoutsomethingnewaboutyourselflikepotentialhomosexuality" thing at all.

It is on topic. Please see my repeated posts to you above as to why. And then answer our questions. We're not going to stop, you know.

There's a giant gap of time where the squaddies could've reflected upon their stance and their feelings, as well as the whole Horizon-ordeal-we-shouldn't-actually-discuss-but-ANYWAY! Perhaps some of them felt guilty, felt sorry about how they expressed themselves, regret, all that. It's a very emotional ride for them, and it would be surprisingly easy (yes, easy) to justify a change of heart in the sexuality-section. From a writing point of view, that is.

So there.

Just like I don't buy that "talirandomlydecidedshereallylikedShepardafterhewasdeadfortwoyears" but we have to live with that don't we.

Right, because the whole contemplating one's sexuality never happens. People never have doubts about their sexuality, it's perfectly static from the day you're born until the day you die.

Except when it's not.

He's not going to.  He'll just keep skirting around the issue and claim he's not a troll.  I've already reported him to a mod since he has nothing constructive to add to the thread.

Its on topic if your reasoning for being against the s/s romances is the retcons and fanservice.

It would have been off-topic had it not been brought into the discussion. However, since you made the claim that the two are nothing alike, and people are curious as to your reasoning, it is now on-topic. Hey, if you give us a plausible reason, maybe we can understand what is so wrong with certain members becoming romanceable by both genders.

Some of us are open to new ideas, you know. ;)

@Saeran Yes you do, as unfair as that may seem to you.

@Cootie Look, I'm just not into to that kind of stuff, I don't buy it for a second.
