@Ryzaki No, I'm not admitting anything, I'm saying that it's not on-topic.

@Cootie I don't buy the "findingoutsomethingnewaboutyourselflikepotentialhomosexuality" thing at all.

Right, because the whole contemplating one's sexuality never happens. People never have doubts about their sexuality, it's perfectly static from the day you're born until the day you die.

Except when it's not.

heh, i can imagine a baby coming out of their mum and saying "IM GAY, WAAAAAAA, ******, WAAAA,!"

The awesomeness never ends.

I love you SO HARD right now.

Here is a perfect example of someone shifting their affections about left and right.

@Saeran Yes you do, as unfair as that may seem to you.

@Cootie Look, I'm just not into to that kind of stuff, I don't buy it for a second.

I'm not into aliens and I don't buy Tali being attracted to Shepard for a second.

*Mocks*

Well as a tali-fan it is difficult to take you serious, given the reputation.

But honey, it happens in real life all the time. Doesn't matter a fig if it hasn't happened to you. Your experiences don't amount to a hill of beans in the face of the wealth of diverse experiences out there.

Kaidan and Shep, coming together in ME3 as they realise all they've been through together, all they've witnessed, all they've lost, all they might lose in the future. They finally realise they can't deny their feelings for each other anymore. They love each other.

It's such a damned beautiful thing I've got a little bit of manly grit in my eye just thinking about it.

It's a perfectly valid question that you refuse to answer.

So yes I'm gonna keep bringing it up until you answer the question.

Why are retcons and fanservice okay with Tali but not for s/s options?

@centauri2002 Not when juvenile (for lack of a more polite word) things like mocking me are going on.

Actually, I will, but the mocking is kind of annoying.

Of course you're not. I'm not into a lot of things, either. I am a very restrained person. What I do not buy, however, is when outdated traditions hold us back and require a kind of assimilation in order to achieve acceptance.
And this is one of those cases, and that is why I feel so strongly for this thread. I'm very much a heterosexual, and even if there was homosexual content in Mass Effect, I am not certain I would utilise it.
Options.

I am against alcohol-abuse, for example. And to me, putting any amounts of alcoholic substances in your mouth equals to abuse. However!
However, even if I do not drink, I do not find drinking appealing, I do not understand people who do enjoy it, I cannot deny the existance of alcohol, or somehow censor it from my world, no matter how much I'd like it. People drink.

You cannot deny the fact that people change. Alterations happen. A change of heart is capable of being justified just the same as a Tali-romance.
It is not a story unless things change. Consider this, and unless you can actually provide me with examples or good reasoning to defy my post, you are not being constructive.
You're right now in the iteration-pit of staying silent and shaking your head at everything we throw at you. I recommend changing that attitude.

It's either that, or we're simply not discussing this on the same wavelength.

If there is a mocking tone it's merely because you refuse to engage with the points that show your opinion up to be full of holes.

*cough-cough*
Erhum-hum-hum.

Since the jury has decided that you are an avid fan of the Tali-romance (I cannot cite where this was first stated, but hey, there you go) while at the same time being against the inclusion of fanservice, we are confused.
This is a paradox.

Tali-romance and fanservice are one and the same.

We want to know how a Tali-romance is different from the inclusion of s/s content in terms of implementation and story-related devastation, as you would most likely put it (source needed).

Engage with those that are acting reasonably and are willing to debate maturely, and ignore the mocking remarks. :)

I think there were several points people wanted you to expand upon. The cheapening of a character because more players would be able to romance them, for one. And the exact differences you see between the abrupt changes in Tali or Garrus' attitudes towards Shepard and (we'll use these two as an example of characters becoming bisexual for ME3) Ashley or Kaiden's.

Nothing sounds quite as lovely as a fake Welsh accent.
