@Cootie I think we are past that, though, as I have made other points.

@centauri2002 Like I said before:

Adding an service and retcons (if you believe it is) in ME2 =/= adding more fanservice and retcons (if you believe it is) in ME3

Ah, here we go with Ramirez Wolfen Math™ again. Actually doing something in ME2 is the exact same thing as doing that same something in ME3. When you do something once, and then do that same thing another time, it's equivalent. You keep using =/= as if it somehow disproves people's logic, but here's a formula maybe you can understand.

Use of =/= and other Fake Math DOES NOT EQUAL refuting a logical parallel introduced by a person on the other side of the argument.

Seriously, is this what kids are learning in school now? I shudder to think what Social Studies is like if Mathematics is getting such short shrift.

It's quite close to what you said, but absolutely not what you meant, at all. Rather the opposite. I'm claiming that exclusive heterosexuality is catering to a minority, where as your posts are the other way around.

At least I think they are.
I'm very confused now.

YES IT DOES! what aren't you getting about this Ramirez?! Tali will DIE from impregnation from Male Shepard, DIE, dead, killed, death, final cut any phras emeaning finality will do. Yet that's okay with you but not Ashley going "Hey SKipper, I know we're both women, but I'm extremely attracted toy ou so I'm finally admitting it to see how you feel." "I feel the same" "Great, let's go do some affectionate stuff since we're both human and there's little to no danger about that" , that's wrong to you? the tali and Garrus retcons are PERFECT examples of why there should be same sex content added, becuase there was NO way Tali and garrus owuld be romanceable if it wasn't for Tali and Garrus fans asking for it. I'd rather have same sex romance then Kill my LI or have my LI put me in shock from sex. But that's okay with you.Posted Image

@Stealthy Giraffe. Please refer to my argument about the friends and friend zone thing. It's a few pages back.

You do understand that the Talimance, fail or no fail, set a precedent, right? That regardless of a characters existing circumstances, if the character is popular enough, pretty much "anything goes"? Tali is a quarian, can't share food with a human, is one of a race of aliens with a very low population and therefore every quarian has a responsibility to have children if at all possible, and yet Tali throws all of that out the window just for some antibiotic-smeared sexytimes with a human? That to me is way more farfetched than Miranda saying to FemShep "I didn't know you felt that way Shepard, and it hadn't crossed my mind before, but now that I think about it, why not? Yeah, let's give it a shot." Because you see, in the latter scenario, both parties are the same species.

It cracks me up that people claim that two humans of the same sex hooking up is unrealistic unless both parties wear I Am Bisexual T-shirts in ME1 and ME2, but a human shagging a quarian or a turian is totally understandable, realistic, and normal. They're ALIENS. For all we know, they smell like mildew. And I'm thinking that the likelihood of compatible naughty bits is rather low.

You can keep the "gay stuff" out of your games. By not selecting the option that pursues the "gay stuff". See how simple that was?

I am not sure if the actual homosexuality of the characters is what's bothering our Ram-Wolf. I think it's more the fact that characters are altered for no other reason than to please fans.
Which is contradictory since it's already happened once, and he's fine with that change.

In my opinion, it is a bit selfish to not allow others to enjoy the same kind of fanservice.

I just like to keep continuity.  I wouldn't have minded if they were written at bisexual from the beginning but I just don't like retcon.  I didn't like it with Tali and Garrus.  I don't want it with existing characters.  I would prefer they make new LI's be exclusively gay or lesbian.

I liked the decision that they did in DA2 to make all LI's bisexual...but I don't think it would work in ME3.  I don't want characters changed simply because people demand they are changed.  So giving people viable choices (LI's that are only gay or lesbian) means that everyone is happy.

It won't be in your game if you don't pursue it. Just like all things with bioware games, there's a CHOICE. Don't want the outcome? don't take the choice.Posted Image

Well, some would say that ALL my posts are a bit rude, but hey, I've always favored a rather direct discussion style. I'm not going to treat you kids with kid gloves. You're not porcelain dolls, you won't break. And I'm certainly not going to mollycoddle people with backward attitudes who spout prejudice as if it's perfectly justifiable. No, I'm not the 'passive resistance' type. But we can argue about my rapier wit in some other venue, what you should be doing is actually responding to the points I'm making, not deflecting with "you're rude" comments every time I make a point you don't have a response for.

But, then you're not really adding to this thread either. People have given you paragraphs of reasons behind their arguments but you always seem to answer with a single line, often ignoring points completely. It's frustrating to those who take the time to explain their thoughts when you're not bothering.

If you don't have the time to sit down and write out a well constructed reply then just don't bother replying at all, better that than have people repeat themselves continuously.

@Cootie Yes, I have no problem with homosexuality, just altering characters. Regardless of whether it happened before, and whether I liked it or not, what exactly would be the point of complaining about it?

@Siansonea II I don't expect you to be 100% nice, but I do expect a level of respect (as I have shown you), and if you won't do that, I do not wish to discuss with you.

Biology. Their make up is the Opposite of ours therefore should bolidy fluids be exchanged, it could cause her a severe allergic reaction resulting in death. Same with Garrus and the rest of the Turians.

People wonder why this thread is particularly defensive a lot of the time. You are right Ramirez, we shouldn't respond to Eilie's post. It's just difficult when we are all the same but apparently have to be treated differently. As if most of us were a mistake from birth, as if we can't be as "manly" as "men's men". As if we can't romance. So yes it get's very defensive in this thread, apologies if I myself get defensive over it.

As I've said.. I would "like" that option. Not demanding it, but would definately enjoy the game a whole lot more if I could take part in that aspect. At the moment.. I can't.
