You are off topic if you wish to discuss this one of the multiple threads you've created on it feel free. Adios.

No need to be snippy as I was responding to your choosing one small part of a post that was on topic. I am dropping it though as i ddin't want to argue any futrther any way. I said we'll agree to diagree which meant that was my last word on it until you and a few others took it up.

I would have ignored it as it was off topic but I try to respond to people that want to discuss things further so as to not be rude.

ON TOPIC So now as per didys request prove BW intends a male Shepard to be gay with actual proof.

I didn't work on ME1 but I would
venture to say that most of the developers feel that Liara/Femshep is
an F/F relationship. I don't know if the "she's an asari" thing was
ever intended to take away from the F/F aspect (since I wasn't around
when the idea was put together) but nevertheless, she was intended as
the gay female love interest.

As far as M/M love interests... I
can say that it was planned, but as far as I know it was cut due to
time constraints. Quite frankly the demand is small. I'm not defending
it, but the choice is between a level that everyone will enjoy and a
romance that only a minority will enjoy. We did it in Jade so we're not
afraid of it; there just isn't enough time.

Sorry to all the gay ME fans

@thatguy212  Fair warning, IH is a waste of time, just look at his past history and didymos warning on the last page.

There is no point, you don't even understand the basics of debate and insinuate that anyone who disagrees with you is a liar or an idiot. People do remember things and you've been caught with your pants down.

Which has unfortunate implications in a s/s LI thread...

Ok lets really get on topic.

1.) Assuming we get a  ME1/2 character as  LI that wasn't romanceable before how would you like the initial romancing to go...should the previous unavailability be acknowledged?

2.)  Do you want to see the romance acknowledged in some sort of epliogue card and/or cinematic.  What's your biggest  hopes/dreams/wishes for them?

Absolutely.  The character should express confusion over Shepard's intentions, misunderstandings of the past, etc, adding a certain amount of tasteful regret to it all.  Reflecting on the time they squandered, both Shepard and the LI could move forward with that much more purpose... to say nothing of the fate of the galaxy hanging in the balance.

Yes, to a certain extent... kinda like Tali's "I watched you for so long" or Garrus's "I never really thought about it".  I don't need a long discussion about it but acknowledgement seems appropriate.

Yeah, I'd like this.... LotSB kinda addressed this... I'd like a wedding or some sort of somewhat public acknowledgement of your romance.  (No one on the ship except Mordin or Kasumi mentions your romances... unless you are trying to carry out multiple at the same time--and then its them asking you to choose.)  When I say, 'public acknowledgement' I mostly mean that your squad and some NPCs are aware of who you are with and may mention it in conversations.

279 was full of win. :P

As for the same sex implimentation - if it was centered on characters that hadn't previously shown interest in Shepard, then I think some kind of explanation would be needed. Shepard would surely want to know anyway and the LI would likely want to explain as well.

I'd quite like an epilogue or DLC that focuses on wrapping up the little loose ends like romances. Do they get their happy ending? Does the relationship work out? Do they settle down or take up more responsibilities? Each of the romances have their own questions to answer too. Then there's the question of what a single Shepard will do as well.

Only just caught up on the last 12 pages; I definitely prefer this thread when it's active and not quiet :)

Just a heads up to the regular posters, if you're reading this: generally reporting a forum member via the red report button is not the most efficient way of getting offensive content removed. The report goes to EA's customer service department, not the moderators of the forum. It can often take significantly longer to deal with the issue if it's reported through this method.

The most effective way of reporting inappropriate content is to PM a moderator, such as Pacifen, Stanley Woo, or Chris Priestly. They can dispense justice, rainbows, kittens, etc.

In response to mackenzie's question 2 above, I'd love something like this. The videos of the conversation with Liara at the end of LotSB, even though I didn't romance her and wouldn't be interested anyway, made me sniffle a bit. It was incredibly well written.

I'd love another shot at Kaidan/Ashley, now that they're nifty Spectres and all. It would also be equally awesome if another squadmate were available. I'm not picky.

DA2 was gay enough for itself, DA1, ME1, ME2, ME3 and SWTOR.  There is no more gay left over for another Bioware game for some time to come.  I heard they even took other EA companies' gay for DA2. So no worries, mate.

I don't know if you meant it that way but that's one incredibly creepy picture. Reminds me of some goth horror films.

Woo has to lock up the "Heterosexual Shepard" thread and let the other side get the last say... again.

It only hurts that the last post ended with calling us whiners and that we should just go play DA2.

Why should we have any say in what gender or sexuality the character should have? DA2 has it, go play that? ME should stick to it's original roots and not change for a group of people who openly discuss their homosexuality which kinda seems a bit rehearsed and just a bit b*tchy.

Yes, why should we be able to decide our character in an RPG? Why oh why, I wonder? And what about ME's "original roots" pertains to sexuality, exactly? Should we just keep everything the same for the sake of it? Even when an entire community is stuck tolerating double standards and hypocrisy given current conditions?
