Kids SHOULD see same sex relationships in games and the media. They shouldn't see sex scenes, but that goes for heterosexual sex as well. Given how uncommon homosexuality is, I think gay kids grow up alone and with enough negative reinforcement as it is. If all children were brought up seeing it as ok threads like these wouldn't have to exist.

Peace

Hey now, don't knock the fangirls. Massive fangirling is what got us Garrusmance and Talimance in ME2.

Actually, if anything, I would encourage more "yaoi fangirls" to show their support for same-sex content in ME3. Crazed as their ramblings may be, Bioware definitely responds to their large fanbases. It's no coincidence that the Talimancers got reassurance from a Dev when they began to despair about Tali's role in ME3. Bioware knows that where fans are, profits follow, and if all of the "yaoi fangirls" would come out and show their support, then hey, maybe we Fighters would see a little Dev recognition for once!

I understand that we, as supporters of same-sex content, want to be taken seriously, but our ultimate goal is to see results. In order to obtain same-sex content, Bioware has to know that the resources they pour into same-sex content will earn profits. And to this end, I say, BRING ON THE YAOI FANGIRLS!

Yes, it is.

If you've got nothing to contribute, then don't say anything at all.

You're not, honey. Trust me, it doesn't matter if you're writing an intensive pro-gay essay or simply shouting "YAY FOR GAYSHEP!" It all helps. <3

As a "gay" fan I fully support and appreciate the yaoi/yuri fangirls/boys.

They are some of the strongest and largest voices for full inclusion. Without them we wouldn't be as far as we are. This is what we call mutual self-interest! Good job all of you!

You know, it's a shame that people can't accept themselves for who they truly are, and feel the need to lash out in highly ineffectual ways at others who do accept themselves. It would be much, much sadder if these people weren't idiots, of course. Naturally, all we can do when confronted with clear signs of stupidity is to Report, and move on to another subject.

i was just about to put out a rant regarding anti-yuri sentiment.

when it comes to games..if a female character is available i will play as her. And if there are female love interests available for that female character...i will go with them. My game. My Time. My choice. Cuz my Sheps should be able to love whomever they want...especially in the year 2186! One of the reasons i liked DA:O. I wish more OPTIONS were available in the store release version of ME without using a mod. if i had a PC it wouldnt be a problem but i use xbox.

if it is feasible and already on disk but they are really that worried about the possibility of negative press....why not just make or sell a code for use to unlock it?

Wait, I'm a yuri fan! [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/andy.png[/smilie]

Though on the note of yaoi fangirls, Bioware underestimates how much said fans would really like them if they included M/M. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/lol.png[/smilie]

I could care less about why someone supports s/s romance. I'm happy if they aren't just against it and am doubly so if they are supportive which is why my poll on the subject is worded the way it is.

69% For or do not care
31% Against

Bottom line is most people apparently don't care!

I don't mind,I guess not being able to persue the romancing of the game as one would like it does kinda exclude you from it.So I am in the i don't mind group...i just think evryone should do whatever they want as long as they don't bother each other. And I am also intrigued as to see if it would carry badpress or not...I'm guessing not...

Like I said in my other post, I had a gay uncle, no one made a big deal. I turned out fine

And as a side bonus I'm open-minded and would rather give people their freedom. And don't much care for stifling that freedom.

This is "fight for the love" man, I can be a peace loving hippie if the moment calls for it

We don't all have to be sword-wielding warriors for justice, kitten. Peace-loving hippie is a perfectly appropriate role too. ^_^

While I wish more folks were tolerant of both hetero and ****** sexual relationships, it is hard to convince someone elsewise once their minds are set. Moreover, this is a gaming forum, so not the place for either for homophobia or prolonged discussion on the pres and cons of such relationships.

However, we do not tolerate bigotry against any race, religion or sexual belief here. So, move on now or this gets closed.
