I view Shepard as pretty much a blank slate. He is what you want him to be, within the parameters that BioWare sets. If a s/s option is available for a Shepard of either gender, it doesn't mean that Shepard himself/herself is gay. It's up to the user to decide that. I don't see how adding s/s content changes that.

This isn't the I Hate Jacob thread, by the way. For my part, I think Jacob is a pretty stand-up guy, and I can't stay mad at any guy with abs and shoulders like that. I'm shallow that way. But he's a much better character when he doesn't open his mouth, BioWare really dropped the ball with his facial animations, if you ask me. He goes cross-eyed a lot, and his upper lip wiggles around strangely. I do take issue with some of the stuff he says too, especially the way he goes off on Thane when he first comes aboard. I mean, I'm supposed to trust Cerberus folks, but not a hired assassin? Whatever Jacob.

That said, I wouldn't mind Jacob as a m/m LI option. At least he's good lookin'.

Liara isn't a true female,just looks like one. You have to admit that this one is pretty hard to explain,this asari genders thing. Even after all this time,people still create threads like "Is Liara it?".

As for Kelly,I'll give you an example from my personal experience.I know this girl who finds some other women attractive.She can watch them,enjoy their beauty but she would never date one.

Except for Liara,it's pretty clear matter. I can't imagine any Shepard (male or female),savior of the galaxy and representative of humanity,being gay. Does not fit.

WHOA HEY NOW. My Shepard manages to be both gay and bad-ass AND A HERO at the same time! Even though he likes to have sex with men, my Shepard was still able to save the world and push mercenaries out windows!

And you've been proven time and again thet you're wrong. Liara is female, no two ways around it.  Do yourself a favour and read the codex, and then look up the term 'parthenogenisis'. And for the sake of all that is sane and good in this world, remember that GENDER DOES NOT EQUATE TO SEX! They are different, not the same. One is a social construct, the other is a biological trait.

And as for your Kelly example; I know girls who are bisexual, and would date other women. So there.

And sexuality does not determine personality or level of badassery. What you're doing is applying a (bad) stereotype.

You're confusing gender with sex, methinks. I've gone over this in recent pages so I shan't repeat myself again. You can look back if you're curious. 

And it's been my experience that there are women out there that want to have meaningful, sexual relationships with other women. Lesbians - they do exist.

Yes, you can't imagine your Shepard being in a same sex relationship. That counts for nothing with anyone else. I could never imagine my Shepard in a straight relationship. I don't go pushing that on other people's games though.

Didn't one of the Bioware employee said Liara, like very other Asari, is female?

Also it is said in Codex that Asari are monogender, which means they have 1 sex.

I'm pretty sure Asari are not males.
