Exactly, it makes no sense at all as it, why would it change? I mean, for all we know, there could be three Turian genders, and the male Salarian could lay the eggs. I really don't see how gender would add or subtract from "making sense" when it doesn't make any sense to begin with.

Anders was plain reasonable. He offers you an out and he gracefully accepts it. He doesn't pretend you didn't say squat and continues hitting on you and then touching you as though he has a right to do so.

anders didnt creep me out because he was bi and hit on me once. he creeped me out because he was creepy lol even if he never hit on me i still would have found him creepy and off-putting.

though i think its telling that people have complained about anders but not about fenris. i think anders general creepy vibe and THEN hitting on them is what made people react poorly to them. fenris hitting on you was more like him going "hey you're pretty cute" and my guy reacted "thanks but im not into that" and fenris was like "thats cool, meant nothing by it" and was fairly well done. anders was well CREEPY.

for example, if kaidan came out and admitted he always had a thing for my male shepard and i was able to let him down easily i'd be completely cool with it. however, if kaidan started ranting for 20 minutes about how biotics should rule the galaxy and should revolt against persecution and THEN he hit on me, i'd find that way worse.

Yeehaw! I'm so happy for you guys. And, for those that say it's a retcon, there are romances that are entirely player initiated. I once exhausted Miranda's dialogue as a MaleShep without her ever expressing interest. The options that lead to flirting simply don't exist for FemShep.

He didn't say that because you rejected him (not that I recall) but because you were telling him mages should be in circles.

Many people, including myself, believe that love transcends race.  No reason this wouldn't apply to (sapient) species as well.

This is the best news! I've been feeling pretty good about this ever since DA2 released, but still would not have been surprised with disappointment - I'm so happy to be proven wrong!

Yeah I used that rejection several times myself. He only brings up Templars if you tell him what he did with Justice was wrong and stupid.

Now that I understand. Anders is a creeper. 

Yeah Fenris was pretty laid back about it. (I don't recall him hitting on my Hawke first though. I just took that as a compliment). 

So you just find his MAGES MAGES MAGES thing creepy. That isn't because he's bisexual. That's because he's a tunnel visioned obsessive creep.  

Even if Kaidan and Garrus started hitting on dude Shep they wouldn't do that crap. And both of them would back off (I doubt Garrus would even initate anything in the first place. FemShep had to initate his romance).

Well I don't think what is between your legs has any meaning when dealing with an entirely different species that isn't even composed of amino acids. Like, you only need to have even a half-decent knowledge of biology to know what a vast difference that makes. I mean, imagine if 500 million Roswell-looking aliens came to this planet to settle down peacefully. Do you think we can even differentiate their gender by looking at them, let alone it be a significant factor in the relationship, when gender differences are pointless when dealing with a species that is completely different from yours? Granted, it does mean something when in the same family. For example, the "liger", offspring of a lion and a tiger. However, a turian and a human  would barely even be in the same domain, which is by far, the broadest classification.
