Quite a specific and strange idea of how gay men act around each other. Been thinking about this?

I find it so very amusing that people who are 'fearful' of this are the ones who have the most active imagination regarding it.

Please, ok the man looks likes he's 30 yrs older than Anders.  Does that please you?????

Actually he doesn't. Anders himself is about 26. Karl doesn't look older than mid 30s to me. His hair is grey but some people grey early.

And I notice you don't acknowledge the fact that rape =/= sexuality. What a surprise.

I didn't mention rape because I don't want to go there.  That is just too close personally.  I am 49 and I am not in the slightest gray.  Hubby is 52 and not in the slightest gray so no I don't think so.  And as far as me saying "my Kaidan" that was slip.  I'm straight, don't care whether anyone is gay, bi or straight but I hope Hudson has the sense to do the it right this time.  People, you are the minority and not the majority.  Bioware already has lost a lot of fans because of DA2.  They may lose even more.

Well, they may have lost some fans because of DA2, but I would venture to say that The Anders Incident is only a small part of the backlash against that game. Last I heard, though sales of DA2 were quite solid, so if they lost some fans, they probably gained enough to compensate. Regardless, I doubt same-sex content was a factor, since it was also present in DAO.

And please don't assume you are addressing a minority. Not everyone here is LGBT, many of us are heterosexuals who support an inclusive stance. More of us than you might think.

Just for the record, I don't think most people who would stop following a publisher's works because of how another person interprets it should be called "fans". Thats like if you suddenly stopped liking Catcher in the Rye because some lunatic shot John Lennon after reading it.

If people are going to ragequit because of S/S romances then that is their problem for getting upset over optional content that can be avoided.

Pfft. Those same 5 maps, the broken promises, and the fact that the game was a giant origin story is what made alot of people hate DA2. That and the WAVES UPON WAVES OF ENEMIES!

Those are far more important to people than some easily dodged gay romances.

They lost fans because the game was a disappointment, not because it was more inclusive than ever before. The character interaction and romances were one if its good points.

Oh it's the old "there are more of us, hence we're more important" line. Is inclusiveness such a terrible thing? You don't need to experience the content so where's the problem? Why is it so bad that BioWare consider us just as important as you?

Or how your Shepard will start acting around them ... that can be even worse. Shepard starts flexing around Garrus and asking if he wants to "wrestle" .... Image IPB

I'd feel worse but FemShep already acts like a cat in heat around Jacob. It being hetero doesn't make it any less  inducing. Same with Tali giggling and blushing around my Dude Shep.

I've mentioned the Shepard/Jacob interaction before and hopefully Bioware has heard the "God that was creepy" cry. Hopefully my Ash-loving Shepard doesn't start acting "creepy" around Garrus.Image IPB

Believe me if it happens I'll be right there  with you. Especially since Garrus didn't hit on FemShep first.

Do not want.

If what Casey says here is what they aim for, all will be good.
Still, don´t know how people will react if characters that have been hetero till now start being bi all of a sudden xD

(my personal theory is that in the future everyone is bi, ya know, sexual freedom and all that =P)

All that they need to do is make James Vega(Sanders....I stopped caring) bisexual and give a good romance tree for Manshep. They said that there'd be no LI's, but the game is still in developement and they're either tweaking current features or adding new ones. It can't be that hard to do.

All I ask is that Bioware does not link Paragon/Renegade choices to relationships akin to what they did in DA2. I don't want Garrus hitting on me to begin with, but if I choose to go full paragon then dismiss his claims or whoever I don't want renegade points added on.

I'm very curious to how they are going to do this as well, what type of interaction with the characters is necessary for this, I'm hoping it is something that is avoidable. Congrats to you guys but I'm worried how this will be implemented as tacked on things like this can hurt games.

BW lost fans because DA2 was rushed as all heck. Not because all the LIs was bi.

Every review critising DA2 had a pretty similar list of flaws and *gasps* the romances were rarely on them.

Yeah, a couple people rage-quitting the series over all BI LIs in DA2 is not big deal...they won't be missed.

Well, when you go by the Kinsey Scale....sexual orientation is kinda arbitrary.

I hope the don't make everyone bi. Bioware already tried the "all Bi" thing with Dragon age 2 and look how that turned out. It sucked! The romances read like bad Twilight fan fiction.

I don't want Garrus to turn into an Anders 2.0..

Garris: I love you shepard
Shepard: Want a sandwich?

I played ME2 with a FemShep that avoided the Garrus romance, and didn't gain any Renegade points...I think you'll be fine.

Actually, I don't recall Paragon/Renegade point gain ever being linked to romance.

DA2 (and DA:O as well) are different b/c there's no morality meter for the PC and just approval/friendship bars for each character, so your dialog with them will always affect that.

But Garrus turning into Anders would make me strangle someone. Nothing to do with Anders' being bi. Everything to do wth Anders' turning into an idiotic possessed terrorist.

But yeah Player initated romances...without traps please. <_<

And actual friendship paths would be nice. So I don't *need* to romance someone for some additional backstory. =]

That is what I thought ... Given that aliens are now among us, I wold think that there would be a bigger backlash for dating an alien than another human, regardless of gender.

EDIT: Not that everyone is bi .. but that human with human would not be a big issue. You would still have straights & gays but given that there are now aliens Image IPB - The heat would be off human-human relationships to some degree.
