so just a question for you guys, when you replay ME1 and ME2 to import into ME3 knowing you'll have s/s romance options, are you going to pursue any ME1/2 romances? or are you going to be "sexually frustrated" shepard?

I'm tempted to RP a "sexually frustrated" closeted lesbian, who jumps in bed with the male LIs in ME1 and ME2 before realizing she really likes gals in ME3 and acts accordingly.  That would also lead to loads of drama.

it'd be interesting to see characters comment on that.

You should play LotSB if you think that about Tali, it might just change your mind.

Read the first section and keep in mind this shows up with both the male and female Shepards.

Yes I know it shows up for both but to me that's just a a bit of oversight with Bioware. Wouldn't be the first time Bioware screwed up :P (e.g., FemSheps Animations)

It's still in the game, though, so it's perfectly fair. Tali also seemed kinda flirty to my Femshep. Femshep/Tali may not have made it into the final game, but there are enough hints to make it plausible. That's more warning than I ever got with, say, Garrus being into female humans.

I'm still playing the "since Garrus can possibly die in ME2 he cannot be a ME3 SS romance" card. Why waste resources of turning a possibly dead character bisexual (or possibly pansexual depending on who you ask) when Kaidan and Ashley were kept alive for a reason?

C'mon, you know its true!

Well, BioWare collects telemetry data on player activities, so they know roughly what percentage of players have Dead Garrus, and which other characters are often deceased. I actually think many players have at least one playthrough with Alive Garrus, what with that being a prerequisite for the No One Left Behind achievement.

"at least one playthrough with Alive Garrus?" I have played 4 plus times and I have Alive Everyone, every time. I don't understand you people who actually kill off characters intentionally or are just too lazy to do a loyalty quest. It just... why. Hell I hate Zaeed but I still didn't send him off to get killed. Just weird lol

I still say: KAIDAN!!! GIVE ME KAIDAN. I think they are giving Kaidan. , but I will not get my hopes up. Its just the very idea that Shepard will be getting a MAN. Ohhhh yeah. About damn time.

This is pretty much my exact reaction, yeah. Kaidan is my gayShep's #1 choice (been holding a candle for him since ME1) but just the thought that my Shep will get to romance a man, any man, makes me as sunny as the first day of spring!

I do it for role-playing purposes, all my Shepards are very different. Naturally my two Paragons, Vanguard and Adept, keep everyone alive, and my most Renegade, my Soldier, got everyone except Morinth and Kasumi killed. The other three have varying casualties based on their character. My Engineer is a bit obtuse, so she didn't make the best choices in the Suicide Mission, while my Sentinel and Infiltrator are currently in replay. My Infiltrator will make sure all the humans survive, he's pro-Cerberus, and my Sentinel will make sure everyone with biotic ability survives, at least, as well as Mordin. I just like to see different outcomes, like what would ME3 be if so-and-so were missing, what would it be like if almost no one was alive, etc. It's all about variety for me. :)

Personally, my canon femshep has been jonesing for Ashley Williams since Me1 (the sexual tension in the way she said "Dismissed Chief") and now she finally gets her shot without modifications!!!! :D

Why does everyone assume that because someone may be a gay option that they're going to immediately want to jump down your Shep's pants?

Psst, dear straight people. We have platonic friendships too. :?

It's not an assumption about gay people IRL. It's an assumption about BW characters based on previous BW games.

Just heard this news, and although I never really participated in this thread, I've always been a supporter of the idea behind it, and I'm glad you all got what you were hoping for.  Good that BioWare were willing to take this step, and it makes me look forward to ME3 all the more, just to see where they go with it.

She also told my femshep that she had never trusted or wanted (can't remember) to share an enviro with anyone except Shepard. It was sweet and caught me off-gaurd to be honest ... then she nervously went back to work. So .. there is a potential there. But until we know who these s/s choices are, everything is speculation. And here I always thought that "sexual tension" was just in my femshep's head ... you know, wishful thinking. But it still may be ... Posted Image We don't know who the choices will be.

Now that the fight has attained victory, so to speak, I'm going to close this thread, and for discussion of the issue, I've made this thread:
- Wider options for Romance in ME3, including Same-sex -

There is always the Group section of the forums too, but I'm sure that there already is a group for you all.

Congrats :)
