Not really. Following that logic, if you were trapped on an island full of gay men who wanted nothing better than to sleep with you, then you would be gay - even if you didn't actually have sex with any.

so if a gay man rapes another man, then the raped would be gay...is that what you are saying?

...I have no idea how you can even take it that way .

Compare the island full of gay men to the Normany. Shep is on a ship with four women who want him to bone their brains out. Now, that's all well and good, but it doesn't make Shepard straight. Just like a gay man having a crush on a straight man doesn't make the latter man homosexual.

We've been watching this kid show his ignorance and hate for some time now. You'll notice any time anyone in this thread makes a valid point or a particular cogent rebuttal, he just says "that makes no sense" and begins the next groove of the broken record, IF he acknowledges the rebuttal at all. It's pointless guys. He somehow thinks his Precious Straight Sheploo will be compromised by our initiative here, and he'll use whatever flawed logic he can come up with to stop it. He claims he is okay with homosexuality in general, then makes blatantly insensitive statements that clearly show that he buys into every homosexual stereotype out there. This should say more about the issue than any of us ever could. Let's just thank him for showing us what goes on inside the mind of this type of person.

ohhh then your original counter question makes no sense then...the straight male is stuck on an island with a bunch of horny gay guys...but there is a fine line...to say that if shep only has the option to romance fems then i dont see why he wouldnt be straight..your arguement is basically making everything gay which you and i both now that isnt right nor is everything is straight neither...because the option or opportunity of having a s/s relation in my life has never existed or came up and that i only "bone" and date girls then that somehow makes me gay then right? i think there is a flaw in that sir...just sayingPosted Image

- I like Legion, though i think the fact recruiting him pretty much rushes you into the endgame ultimately hurts his characterization. But I like his unique perspective.

Haha I just remembered that conversation as soon as I read your post, god that one really made me laugh when I heard it too, in fact, I'm laughing over it right now :D

I also feel like they missed a small opportunity for comedic effect with Grunt as he is a sort of "new born" and they could have made a few "what is this/is this right/you can do that!?" kinds of convos.

Legion just had the sad fate of being intruduced too late. They could have taken some interesting turns with him to make him slowly become more of an individual, slowly breaking away from the Geth's limited AI to becoming a fully realized persona of his own. I do believe he could have become a very intriguing character if given the time.

You know what we need? A character with absolutely no emotional baggage. Someone who could bring a bit of that starry eyed wonder. We could argue that Tali/Liara had those in ME1 but in all honesty Quarians do not have it easy and Liara was too old/educated...Would have been nice to have someone like Jenkins y'know? Less of a walking disaster like Conrad Verner but still naive enough to encompass the feeling. Dr. Chakwas telling him things like "You watch too many spy vids Jenkins." or "He is just mixing up real life with romantic fantasy" :o

That being said...I never realized until my last few posts in this topic how much I actually like Dr. Chakwas' character...

Also...I really hit a sore note somewhere eh flea? That aggression was a little...much. Take it easy man. Chill :P

Calling me an imbecile and a jackass won't get you anywhere, I prefer my LI's to be female...and less abusive ;)

The kid from Omega that was voiced by the same guy as Jenkins (assuming you didn't let him get himself killed going against Archangel). Would make for a cool mentor type relationship like Garrus, except Garrus was already kinda jaded from his time in C-sec.

At no point was it stated that the island of gay men were all *horny* but then again all men are horny so...you win that one sir, but if they are so gay and soooo horny then would that problem not solve itself since there are so many of them?

Also....women want you so you must be straight argument = my new MSN quote for great silliness.

I have had a few times where I was hit on by men and I respectfully turned them down. But since I have been hit on by around 1/4th as many guys as girls I guess that makes me 25% gay since the "opportunity" has come up in my life? Wow, thank you so much for helping me realize what I have denied. *rolls eyes*

Yes! ^_^ Wow i can't believe he did not even cross my mind! Must be cause I have been replaying ME1 as well as a few other new games and set ME2 aside for the mean-time.

Edit: he was really voiced by the same guy that did Jenkins? Heh, that is a cool little tid-bit :)

It can be relatively easy to rewrite a previously straight Shepard who's romanced a girl into one that's bisexual for ME3.  Let's take, for example, a potential Joker/MShep ME3 romance:

Joker: If I didn't know any better, Shepard, I'd say you were coming on to me, but I know you have that history with Ashley...
Shepard: I like being able to trust somebody in a relationship, Joker.  That's more important to me than sex or gender.  You've been there from the beginning.

Or, Shepard who didn't romance anybody in ME1 or ME2:

Joker: You haven't dated anybody on the ship, Commander, I'm surprised; I'm sure the ladies would be all over you by now.
Shepard: I'm not attracted to the ladies, Joker.

Then add in more dialogue for Joker and Shepard, and voila!

lol, if Joker became a romance option, I'd have to start a new playthrough just to see how that gets handled.

This. Same for Chakwas, for the lesbian romance, I suppose.

I think somebody suggested something like this about twenty pages ago. I'll see if I can dig it up.

Why straight or gay exclusively? Shepard can't swing both ways?

I'm sure Cerberus can magically heal Joker's legs so he and Shep can have if off without him breaking. I mean, if Cerberus can master Lazarus tech, they can certainly hook up Joker with some reinforced bones. Heck, fine-tuned mass effect field generators would probably sufficiently strengthen his bones. Can you imagine what that would do for Joker, and how much he would blossom? Maybe even to the point where he'd allow himself to have feelings for Shepard (of either gender).

Apparently there are some people who think this is a myth. Straight guys are all like Marcus Fenix and gay guys are all RuPaul, and never the twain shall meet. We're not dealing with giants of intellect here.

Joker can walk just fine in the "Shepard dies" ending, so...

Well can't a gay guy be a bit more like Brian Kinney or Ted Schmidt? They can't all go Emmett Honeycutt afterall.

(a cookie to anyone that gets the reference, my ex made me watch that series and I ended up enjoying it for the satire/dark comedy)

- Why does it seem like my Ship is turning into a weekend getaway for invalids?

- Thats what Kelly is for, just wear 2 condoms on top of each other cause we all know how scale itch got on the Normandy.

- You are forgiven, some lemon scented disinfectant wipes and its like it never happened. (waiting for a "thats what she said" joke)

- I was almost convinced someone was gonna make a joke about how at least we all know the answer to "spit or swallow" when it comes to me now. Bad choice of words on my part.

- That is all.

Actually in ME3 there will be a squadmate in a wheelchair who's special power is that Shep kneecaps people by rolling them at enemies at full force. Kinda like Charge. Only not. (yep, I am so going to hell:devil:)

That reminds me of one of my favorite insults...... Telling someone they're good at  Ninja sex: when they're done, she'll never even know he was there.

As for Joker, I want to see him hook up with EDI (insert joke about cybering here.)

Really though, I would like to see other shipmates hook up. Kasumi/Jacob maybe? ME1 had an inferred pairing of Kaidan/Ashley if you didn't romance one of them, but it never really panned out.

Well then I am going to hell as well since I laughed very heartily at that joke.

The ninja sex thing reminds me of a joke involving Superman, Wonder Woman and the Invisible Man, but I will keep it to myself for the sake of good behavior.

Who says they haven't already *dun dun dun*

An impromptu nuclear bomb to the face can tend to stop things from quite panning out =]

Some people think you can change from straight to gay, some don't. There's no official right or wrong view so don't judge people for it. Personally, I don't know. I do think though, that most people who've lived all their life straight and are happy, have had girlfriends etc. are unlikely to randomly change suddenly at some fairly late point in their life. That would be very difficult mentally.

See also, kroganfaceguy's post (I'm not going to edit it to include his actual name if I remember it, because I honestly don't give a crap).

Speaking of badass gay men, does anyone watch Weeds?  Because Roy Till, at least in seasons 3 and 4, definitely qualifies.

Yeah, why can't Shepard be a switch hitter? you can mate with other species so I don't see why having sexual partners of eithr gender of yours or another is bad.

Recruit Zaeed, then Grunt, ie recruit Grunt 2nd; take either Jacob or Zaeed AND Grunt to get Mordin 3rd, good lines are just before entering the plague zone until Mordin's clinic. You can do a save just before, then reload & switch.
Take Grunt to get Legion & the IFF, again Jacob or Zaeed or ... other combos might work too.
