Some people think you can change from straight to gay, some don't. There's no official right or wrong view so don't judge people for it. Personally, I don't know. I do think though, that most people who've lived all their life straight and are happy, have had girlfriends etc. are unlikely to randomly change suddenly at some fairly late point in their life. That would be very difficult mentally.
BISEXUAL. Look it up. Instead of either/or, some people want BOTH. It's not a matter of opinion, there have been documented cases of real actual honest-to-God bisexuals spotted in the wild. It's not a matter of people 'randomly changing suddenly'. Bisexual. BI-SEX-U-AL. WHY is this so hard for people to understand? Do they not have the Internet in Utah?
Now, now. Patience. Information travels slowly through an Internet connection made of shoestrings and tin cans.
*cough*
Anyway!
Since I think my discussion-query was lost about two pages back with one or two
responses(I didn't count. Sorry. I am a horrible person, and I love
you, whoever responded), and I doubt anyone will click on page 68-ish
just out of curiousity and spot it.
So I'll post it again, because I'm really curious about how the average forum-goer approaches a Mass Effect romance.
"Do you throw yourself into each and every one? Do you scan and pick one
after determining which suits you best? Do you pick the "designated LI"(Ashley/Kaidan, Miranda/The Priiiize) or something like that?
Would your approach to a possible homosexual romance be any different? How?"
Also, I'm notifying you to check back with this post because I might edit it with responses to posts made before I could press the lovely Submit button.
WOAH-HEY!
Quick Edit:

Wow, well way to go ott. I was as civil as I could be in what I said, there was nothing aggressive in it.
I'm not in Utah Sherlock, I'm in the UK, grow up.
Obviously yes,
I'm aware what Bisexuality is. But straight people who are just plain
straight do exist. Maybe some of the characters Bioware have written
into their story are plain straight or whatever? While we have our
views, these characters would also have theirs.
According to several surveys (google it.) the myth of One in Ten has been broken up into "more like 1 in 20", actually. (Unless you're Shepard, then you really get to be one IN ten, if you know what I mean. ZING!)
Still, the SR-2 is a big ship with a nice enough crew. And you'd think that in the future the statistics might change. All in all, I believe it is realistic to imagine that at least someone on that ship could have the hots for our lovely protagonist-person, and be afraid of showing it.
It's called character progression. If done well, in a smooth turn, it's very nice. Stiffness gets dull. (Again, unless you're Shepard. BOOYAH!)
Basically, what I'm saying is: It's perfectly logical for more than one of the crew members to be possibly gay, or bisexual. It's perfectly logical for those to maybe not reveal their sexualities yet. It took Tali some extra time, why not Kaidan, or Bisexual Garrus, or Bisexual Tali again?
It's perfectly logical for a character to spend some time between ME-2 and ME-3 in their "sexual discovery phase", and so forth.
What you and I both are against, however, is the feeling of it being clumsily forced. No, no, no. Smooth turns.
Do want smoothness.
