I don't know if this will help you, but it's definitely interesting:

eta: Oops, I see that's for ME2 faces. But wouldn't it work for ME1 the same way?

Oh, I don't think it's that hard. Often I find that the trick is to avoid the emaciated look which a certain face preset causes.
Personally, I'd say I managed.

I suppose you could just take a face from the ME2 faces website that you like, pop the code into the game, then manually write down all of the slides. Then pop ME1 in and input the slides, adjusting them the way you want. The only downside to this method I suppose the time length.

Does this post help, then? It's from http://social.biowar...3/index/1269311:
"You could start a save with importing, don't change anything just accept, save the game. Use Gibbed's save editor (The code is in the raw list) and then copy paste it when you make a new character. Sadly it's not the quickest way due to the damn unskippable cinematics at the start... but it works." (orig. poster: Haasth)
Do you have the PC version?

Meh I made one I was quite happy with...

Just takes a lil time and a basic understanding of proper facial proportions.

I will say this. The assortment of scars in ME1 was completely cool.

It's a painstaking process, but when you finally make it you'll be really proud of yourself. This happened to be the last female Shepard and I was done making more after her.

I think it's also up to opinion, I mean, I find some pics up here quite... plain, but then some I find amazing. You know how it is.

A few loose rules for making good-looking Shepards:
First rule: Take your time. Really. Take a lot of time. Try something, if it doesn't work, throw the character away and start anew. You're going to spend many hours with this character, if she's really good you'll keep her unchanged to the end of ME3. So it's worth it. Yes, even if it takes three hours.
Second rule: spend crazy amounts of time on getting the mouth right. It defines your femShep's expression more than any other feature. Get a shape that doesn't fit the face, and they'll look like they're wearing a perpetual frown. Too thin lips, and she'll be unattractive regardless of the rest of her face. You can get away with small mistakes on any other feature of a face, but the mouth is unforgiving.
Third rule: don't make her too pale. That happens easily, and then she'll look like a walking dead.
Fourth rule: avoid extreme settings for continuous features. If you don't know what will look best, start from the center. In RL, good-looking faces have a combination of average-looking features. It's true. ME face generation is a bit weighted on certain features, but it still is a good general rule to follow.
Fifth rule: If she looks good in the first cutscene on the Normany with Joker and Alenko, you might have got a perfect one, but don't hold your breath. I never managed to get one who looked good in this scene - but they did look good from then on. So ignore the first cutscene and play until you land on Eden Prime before deciding about throwing her away. Yes, it takes more time. See rule 1.
