Best DLC so far IMO. Great level design, good blend of eviroments, plenty of atmosphere, a very concise and effective story and the dialogue, although thin on the ground, is top notch. The only way they could've improved it was to add a new light weapon or piece of armor but the Heavy Skin Weave had that covered.

It was pretty good.

Makes me excited for a full blown expansion a la Dragon Age.

First off, I found this DLC had an excellent story, might have been nice to have had some companion comments in there, but the story had a lot of emotion in it.  Also the main area was just stunning, something that ME2 could use more of and ME3 needs a lot of.

Finished it last night and believe it was better than BDtS. Definitely the best ME dlc released to date. The ending was quite gripping I thought.

Nice one Bioware, now keep them coming with regularity please.

I just finished downloading and playing this the other day. All in all I would agree with folks in that it is probably the best content-based DLC released so far in Mass Effect, but the Kasumi mission is still my personal favorite.

The only two notable gripes I have were that no one spoke but Shepard (I played through with Kasumi and Legion, and Legion was mentioned in a small scene at the beginning) and that the Hammerhead "combat" is still stay-out-of-their-range-and-pew-pew-with-missiles-or-take-cover every 2 seconds on Insanity. I'm not complaining about it for the difficulty, but for it being lackluster.

But plowing over space cows renders all arguments invalid.

So a game can't take influence and incorporate features from another game?  Right...

This one is definitely my favorite DLC to date. I barely noticed the lack of team dialogue, becoming immersed in the story being laid out in front of me. May even have had a bit of a lump in my throat when all was said and done. But, truly, I was already in a fragile state from attempting to hover about in my unshielded vehicle. Pats on the Back and a Job Well Done for this one .

(I really wish the quality control folks letting those DA add-ons out would follow this example of giving customers a good product for their money, regardless of how much money is spent)

I do wish that maybe in the future or in ME 3, we will be allowed back to worlds after we finish the mission. It would
be nice to have the option just so if i wanted to play around on the HH, i could. Not every world, just the bigger ones
with space to play around in..

But congrats on all the positive reviews. its well deserved!  Image IPB

I don't even know what key to press to collect things. It would've been nice if there had been a tutorial on how to run the hammerhead.

On the 360, you hold down  the Y button over the yellow circles on the ground and you make sure that your Hammerhead stays within the circle until the item is retrieved.

I beat this DLC the other day and I loved it. I hadn't played Mass Effect 2 in 3 months or so, but Overlord reminded me of how great of a game it is so I'm going to start another playthrough.

I wish that combat with the Hammerhead was more in-depth instead of all of this duck and cover stuff that they make you do, but driving it around is a lot of fun - especially in the beautifully detailed environments.

Well done again, BioWare.

I enjoyed it. Great variety.   The missions felt "cold".  That was indeed part of the intended feel... but that also points to the obvious lack of squad/NPC dialogue which really gives an isolatied feeling.

Very good, but I admit that I have come down from my "ME2 high" that carried me through 3.5 straight playthroughs.

Firewalker kinda covered all the tutorials, and I think they assumed everyone getting (and paying) for this would already have the free Firewalker pack) but I guess I can see your point.  It could have been covered again briefly.

I'd give it a 8.5/10. Great addon to the game, it does so many things right. I love the exploration with the hammerhead, reminded me of ME1. Since I am apperantly in the minority of those who loved the Mako in the first game, I loved this dlc for reminding me of it. The wide open expanse of ground to explore to find hidden stuff, and the two areas was very refreshing. A good break from the corridor shooting that you usually get with side missions.

Probably the best dlc from a story-based perspective as well. I like the hammerhead, but there are two things that others have mentioned that I would have fixed.

1- It needs a sheild hud element like the Mako had when you take fire. I restarted a number of times because I couldn't quite tell how far gone my shields were.

2- Find a way to add the quick-save feature to this. ME1 had no problems with that, why should the HH be any different?

Other than those two things, I love the hammerhead. Keep up the great work Bioware!

It's an OK DLC. Didn't feel it was very engaging until the end. Gameplay was nothing you haven't done before but I suppose that's the game engine. I'm just hoping we can get some ME 2.5 content. Continue the story. Either that or some back story missions of various team members.

the insides of the actual stations you visit actually feel alive (no pun intended), with stuff breaking and maybe even falling on you etc...

although it felt like they tried too hard with the vi appearing every 5 minutes, still  it took me by surprise 80% of the time

That ____ ship spooked me out. Dialogue from your crew was desperately needed, but understandably not added. Besides that though. I liked it a lot.

It was a good dlc

- loved the music

- good environment

- great challenge on insanity for me

- only problem is that the all the enemies and my squad mates froze up at least once in each of the stations, allowed for an easy win, but still shouldn't happen

Tremendous plot line that totally took me by surprise at the end. Great new visual effects which were refreshing because after a while many environments in ME2 look the same. Definitely my favorite DLC.

I'm playing on normal. Last boss fight and I keep dying. It's actually pretty challenging in places. HH is way better than the mako, but I wish they would idk make it better or let us fly in space. The land exploring is a weak part of ME so if they can't get it right they should scrap it. The music is good but gets repetitive, but I actually thought it was kind of scary in places. It's good for a few playthroughs.

An excellent DLC overall. Very beautiful Hammerhead environments, a good story, and some challenging battles to boot. Like many others, I wish there had been some extra squadmate dialogue and after-mission commentary, but one can't have everything. Well worth the $7, I feel.

It was very fun, but it felt more appropriate in a FEAR game than in ME2.

Only because the first time I played it, that stuff was freaking me and my stepbrother out.
