I Wanna Leave the Tower
Tune: We Didn't Start the Fire, Billy Joel
Flaming Weapons, Petrify, Death Syphon, genlocks cry
Crushing Prison, Waking Nightmare, Misdirection Hex
Combat Magic, Stonefist hitting, Glyph of Warding, Lightning spitting
Mind Blast, Mana Clash, Mass Paralysis
Winter's Grasp, Flame Blast, Arcane Bolt, Haste is fast
Force Field and Paralyze, Tempest brightens up the skies
Spell Wisp - Spell Bloom, Weakness, cast another Death Hex
Dispel Magic, Cleansing Aura, Stinging Swarm are bad flies
CHORUS
I wanna leave the Tower
I want fire blasting and my spells all casting.
I wanna leave the Tower
'Cause there is a Blight on
Got to go fight darkspawn
Master Shifter, Flying Swarm, Fireball is really warm
Disoriented, Shimm'ring Shielded, got to love Shock
Death Cloud, Mana Drain, Sleep and Horror, Fade Shroud
Heal and Group Heal, Armor of the Rock
Blood Wound, Bear Shape, buffing with Rejuvinate
Mana Cleansing, Cone of Cold, love the Blizzard, never old
Earthquake, Walking Bomb, got Chain Lightning, Spell Might
Arcane Shield, better yield, gonna stop the damn Blight
I wanna leave the Tower
I want fire blasting and my spells all casting.
I wanna leave the Tower
'Cause there is a Blight on
Got to go fight darkspawn
Staff Focus, Inferno, Spider Shape and Blood Control
Spell Shield, Regenerate, Drain Life is really great
Mortal Curse, Miasma, Mighty mighty Aura,
Frost Weapons, Grease and burn, Revival lets you return
Hero Aura, Lifeward, Blood Magic, darkspawn horde
No Magic Burst, that's nice, Got to do Blood Sacrifice
TK, lots of glyphs, Hero spells and hex blitz
Get out of the Tower, elemental power
I wanna leave the Tower
I want fire blastingand my spells all casting.
I wanna leave the Tower
'Cause there is a Blight on
Got to go fight darkspawn
I wanna leave the Tower
I want fire blasting and my spells all casting.
I wanna leave the Ttower
But when I leave town
Will it still fall down, and down, and down, and down...

Alistair's Birthright (upon first arrival at Redcliffe or later with the Ashes)
Then they came to Redcliffe town
Fair Alistair stopped to say
That good King Maric stayed here once
A night and then a day
And that night he'd stayed here
He got a maid with child
The babe was him, and he regrets
That he his friend's beguiled
Fight for Redcliffe - Town Abandoned
Arriving then at Redcliife town
There was no sound but crows
The dead lay scattered all about
And nothing verdant grows
The dead get up and walk at night
There's no news from the keep
The doors are shut but Warden finds
Some secret tunnels deep
Fight for Redcliffe - Town Saved
At Redcliffe, Teagan tells them all
That when the sun goes down
The dead get up and walk at night
And fight throughout the town
With the Guerrins, Warden stands
And fights for Redcliffe town
When sun it rises in the sky
The undead are cut down
But the troubles are not done
There's no news from the keep
The doors are shut but Warden finds
Some secret tunnels deep

Betrayal
Since there's so much of it in DA:O... no particular tune in mind, but pick your favorite angry lady pop star for the general feel of what's in my head. Chorus should be something like "I'm dyyyyyyyyying... etc" and the music definitely covers the bobbles in the meter.
Icy fingers closing
So tight around my heart
Numbness is a present
Before the hurting starts
I thought I really knew you
I thought that we were friends
Fighting back-to-back because
We were in it to the end
CHORUS
I'm dying
Of something worse than death
I'm drowning
Can't seem to catch my breath
In a nightmare
That won't end when I'm awake
Betrayal
My spirit cracks and breaks
Turned to look behind me
I thought I'd see you there
Standing by my side because
I knew how much you care
You were gone and first I thought
That something had gone wrong
Didn't know that all this time
You were stringing me along
CHORUS
Tossed aside, discarded
Once you had what you want
Your voice haunts all my memories
I listen to your taunts
You know I want to hurt you
I want to make you pay
But most of all, I want undone
What happened on that day
CHORUS x2
(Dramatic whisper name of betrayer here...

Have You Ever Licked a Lampost?
Now with podcast!
Based mostly on an Oghren/Alistair conversation
It's hard to get respect
When you're raised a Chantry boy
No matter that the darkspawn
You kill and you destroy
Your companions fail to notice
The skill you bring to task
Instead they wink and snicker
And at night in camp they ask:
Have you ever licked a lampost?
Have you ever twirled a pike?
Do you keep your weapon polished
So it's sharper when it strikes?
Are you polishing the footstones?
Have you tapped the midnight still?
Will you forge the moaning statue?
Come on, tell me if you will.
Well, what's the sodding difference
If the lampost's licked or not?
It's not as if that matters
While you're lining up a shot
But it really would be pleasant
If you could answer 'yes'
When they smile and they titter
And they say, "Now let me guess..."
Have you ever licked a lampost?
Have you ever twirled a pike?
Do you keep your weapon polished
So it's sharper when it strikes?
Are you polishing the footstones?
Have you tapped the midnight still?
Will you forge the moaning statue?

Enter Redcliffe Castle
There within the castle
The Warden's shocked to find
The arl's own son has been possessed
A demon in his mind
Isolde Kills Connor
His mother's gone and killed him
All with her pen-knife sharp
How she cried and how she cried
She's pierced him through the heart
Warden Kills Connor
The Warden's gone and killed him
That night so very dark
To spare his mother from the deed
She's pierced him through the heart
Warden Seeks the Circle
The mages in the Tower tall
May still somehow give aid
With lyrium and spellcraft strong
They'll enter in the Fade
So to distant Tower tall
Young Warden swiftly goes
To ask for mage's help against
These fell demonic foes
Broken Circle Previously Completed
The First Enchanter Irving
He greets her with a smile
Agrees that saving child's life
Is a task worthwhile
Complete Broken Circle Upon Arrival
And when it was all over
The First Enchanter asked
How he might help Grey Warden fair
In all her trying tasks
She's told him then of Connor
He answers with a smile
Agrees that saving child's life
Is a task worthwhile

Come and Dance with Me (Under the Moon)
A DAO 80s power ballad
Flemeth: A Witch of the Wilds, eh? Morrigan must have told you that. She fancies such tales, though she would never admit it. Oh, how she dances under the moon!
I don't understand
Why I want to hold you close
I'm not a lady fine who wants
One red romantic rose
No, I run with the wolves
Under black night skies
But something inside's stirring
When I look into your eyes
Come and dance with me
Under the moon
Daybreak's coming
All too soon
Just for tonight
Hold me tight
And dance with me
Under the moon
Tis a strange and anxious feeling
I wish it would be gone
And so our ways must part
With coming of the dawn
I do not wish to lose you
But to loss I am resigned
So come, my love, and dance with me
Dance just this one last time
Come and dance with me
Under the moon
Daybreak's coming
All too soon
Just for tonight
Hold me tight
And dance with me
Under the moon
Owls are winging
Under the moon
Wolves are singing

Save Connor with Mages
And so the brave Grey Warden mage / And so a mage both strong and brave [mage PC / other mage]
Has entered in the Fade
To battle with the demon
And Connor Guerrin save
She's gone and killed the demon foul
The child's mind is free
So now to see to Eamon's health
Is Teagan's only plea
Save Connor with Blood Magic
(Again with this being Leiliana's santizied version of events)
A mother's love all for her son
Is stronger than the dark
The fair Isolde gave up her life
To foil demon's art
Bridge to Sacred Ashes
The arl lays still all sick abed
He's poisoned without cure
Andraste's ashes holy pow'r
The Warden must secure.

Act 1, Scene 3
Somebody said they needed a Shakespeare fix. I think they meant on stage, but...
Morrigan: Where hast thou been, Mother?
Flemeth: Killing nugs. Daughter, where thou?
Morrigan:
A Loth'ring wife had toxins in her lap
And brewed, and brewed, and brewed
"Give me," quoth I
"Aroint thee, girl!" the rump-fed ronyon cries
Her husband's to Antiva gone, seeking work in city
But in a sieve I'll thither sail
And like a rat without a tail
I'll do, and I'll do, and I'll do
Flemeth: I'll give thee a wind
Morrigan: Thou'rt kind.
Flemeth: And yet another
Morrigan:
And I myself have all the other
And the very ports they blow
All the quarters that they know
I will find him there
I will drain him dry as hay
Sleep shall neither night nor day
Close his eyes nor rest his head
I shall keep him to his bed
Weary sennights nine times nine
Shall he dwindle, peak and pine
If his heart cannot be lost
Yet it shall be tempest-tost
Look what I have
Flemeth: Show me, show me
Morrigan:
Here I have a husband's thumb
Wandering and faithless scum
[Drum within]
Flemeth:
A drum, a drum!
The Wardens come!

Closer to My Heart
by Her Highness, Lady Sereda Aeducan
Podcast!
I was born a princess
In a family proud and great
My skill made me commander
And glory seemed my fate
But with glory comes their envy
And with envy comes their hate
So now, I'm lost to exile
My doom, I do await
CHORUS
"My lady,
I will always love you."
Those
were the final words you said
I held them
Closer to my heart
And kept them
When all else good had fled
They took grandmother's armor
They took away my shield
The one Aeducan carried
That in his tomb was sealed
They took away my clan name
They took my sword of steel
They took you from my arms, love
My broken heart will never heal
Though everything, it seemed lost
I clung hard to my life
I fought genlocks and fought spiders
And I missed you, my stout knight
I found the tall Grey Wardens
Who stand fast against the Blight
I'll swear myself to them, love
And go to the lands of light
At the fortress they call Ost'gar
We lost so many men
Was it luck or was it fate, love
That I was spared again?
Fighting darkspawn all the while
We rode through hill and glen
Til we see her mighty towers
And arrive at Denerim
It was in the city's market
That I nearly lost my head
For I heard your voice a-calling
You were standing just ahead
I ran to find you, darling
From all my friends I fled
I ran so you could tell me
That to another you'd been wed
When they took my armor, it was 'justice'
And it was 'right' when they took my name
And it hurt, I will not deny it
But it's nothing like this pain
When your enemies attack you,
You know you would do the same
But when your love betrays you
It burns like a white-hot flame
"My lady,
I will always love you."
Those

@Sarah - Thank you! I was thinking of Aunn and her unrequited love.
@soignee - Indeed! I'm thinking Los Altos Deepstalker boots in Lyrium Blue, a hat with a classic shape but a striking color and, well, some bling, keep the shirt clean and simple, and of course Wranglers.

Urn of Sacred Ashes
It was at distant Haven town
In Frostback Mountains cold
The Warden found the ashes' guards
Those watchers very old
But mad they'd gone, alone up there
Among the drifts of snow
They thought Andraste'd come again
As dragon fully grown
Past these foolish madmen
The Warden pushes on
To Andraste's holy resting place
The Warden's feet are drawn
And what passed in that sacred place
No mortal voice should tell
Except to say, by Maker's grace
The arl, he shall be well
Arl Eamon Is Cured
A pinch of holy ashes dark
Are brought to Redcliffe town
The arl, he wakes all in his bed
With family gathered 'round
He's pledged his men to Warden's cause
When treaties all are sealed
He has a plan for King Loghain
To Warden he's revealed
Fair Alistair is King Maric's son
He has a claim to rule
They'll call a Landsmeet and decide
To dethrone tyrant cruel

For the third time in my life I actually did laugh out loud from something on these forums. Well done!

Who Am I?
Musically, think big, manipulative Broadway showtune, like "On My Own" from Les Mis.
This is for "Dragon Age: Origins - The Musical," if it existed. Marjolaine lies dead, and Leiliana has just told the Warden that she needs some time to think. The Warden and the other companions move across the stage left, leaving Leiliana stage right. Addressing Marjolaine, the Maker, and/or the Warden, she reflects on her life and identity.
When I was a girl, it seemed like so much fun
The dances and the parties, new dresses for each one
The price was false shy smiles frozen on my face
A charming little girl who sang and knew her place
Never frown or scowl, no matter what they do or say,
And so a pawn begins to learn just how the Game is played
Years go by and all too soon the pawn becomes a knight
Jousting men in darkened rooms until the morning light
A saucy naughty minx, a shy and blushing maid,
A sweetly naive girl, a deadly bardic blade
I was cold and hard or I was soft and hot
It didn't matter who I was so long as prey was caught
Who am I?
It's been so long that I don't know
Who am I?
My faces are just masks that I just pick and choose to show
I look inside and try to see
A fleeting glimpse of something me
Some kind of self I might set free
But there's just this one insistent plea:
Who am I?
And when I ran I thought at last I'd left it all behind
That with some peace and prayer I might finally know my mind
But still I was performing, for Reverend Mother's smile
And then I'd go and drink at Dane's and wonder for a while
If I loved the Chantry, why was I longing for the road?
But if I was a bard why did I live the Chantry's code?
I am tired of pretending and I am tired of the lies
Of constant gamesmanship and always vying for the prize
I may not know just who I am but I know what I want:
I want to save this love I've found and for which I have fought
But does s/he love the real me, or does s/he love the mask?
And how could s/he even know when even I must ask:
Who am I?
It's been so long that I don't know
Who am I?
My faces are just masks that I just pick and choose to show
I look inside and try to see
A fleeting glimpse of something me
Some kind of self I might set free
