Its strange, I just finished playing some DLC's for another game, and tbh, this dlc proved that bioware is way ahead when it comes to this sort of content.
Thanks bioware

It's not like you just say "Har har I don't give a sh*t about this rtard! I'm out, y'all!" It's made clear that even renegade Shep isn't happy about what he sees.

The renegade ending really isn't as "monstrous" as everyone makes it out to be. You just accept that, as horrific as it is, this research could save the lives of millions if war with the geth ever breaks out and, after backhanding him onto his ass, you tell Archer he'd better not let his brother's sacrifice be for nothing and then storm off.

Exactly, I also believe that the email from TIM or maybe Shep says that David should/will get better care while being part of the Overlord project. Regardless, I seriously doubt David will ever be himself again.

Hammerhead is still annoying with its tin foil armor and spastic hopping to avoid enemy fire; Hammerhead platforming is a god-awful idea that I hope never sees the light of day again; the story is barely there, and there's really no reward for completing the mission.
Oh, and shooting the arms off that robot and watching it run around like a chicken? Was that supposed to be funny?

Rather eerie to have the jerk doctor share the same first name as my canon Renegade Shepard.
I'm just distracted by the fact he has the same name as the captain of the Enterprise lol

Also, I liked the different gameplay "puzzles"... moving the platforms, the elevator... nice touch.

Yeah, and that was one of the highlights of the ending. As monstrous it seems, it also have the possibility to save millions of life.
(And that's why my results above lives Shepard kept it going. With every other characters, I shut it down. As there's not such thing as greater good, there's always another way. Greater good is just a device to justify bull****.)

I wasn't heartened by the Shepard "zombie moment"... kinda bullshizz... but that was the only big downer for me. They could have gone for something that didn't resemble him/her being "controlled". the graphics were good in that last 10 mins no doubt.. but the premise is too loose and has questions I don't want to hear the answer too: ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL.Mystranna Kelteel wrote...
The only good part of this DLC was the last 15 minutes, and even that pissed me off because apparently Shepard IS a zombie robot.

Hammerhead was frustrating - definitely needs fixing but with some work it could definitely be a fun part of ME3 if they decide to go with it. Just a couple of things like shields, a health bar and a bit more endurance in terms of taking hits would go a long way in making it a great vehicle, especially when compared with the mako.
Game itself was very well done - chilling, unsettling. Jumped a good few times with the noise from the VI, and the “abandoned” emptiness of the areas at first was a good way of creating suspense. I loved the tone and the atmosphere. The fights were well-done and well-paced, and I thought that the end-boss was different than usual, and a surprise.
It was a shame that the characters were silent, but this isn’t really a fault – Bioware can’t be expected to get every voice actor back in for that. Shepard was still voiced, which was nice, and the character of Archer was implemented well in the game.
Overall, great piece of DLC for less than five quid. I was very happy with it.
Going off track a little here, but I found the use of mythology in Overlord interesting, and tried to draw parallels between the names for the stations and what was going on.
Atlas (Station where David/VI was housed)
- Most commonly identified as a symbol of endurance, carrying the world on his shoulders.
Prometheus (Abandoned geth ship)
- Brother of Atlas, punished for giving humans the power of fire.
Vulcan (Station surrounded by lava rivers)
- Connected to fire. Ordered to create Pandora as punishment to the humans for Prometheus' gift.
Hermes (Station where you first meet Archer)
- Messenger/Guide to the underworld. Brought Pandora to humans and bestowed upon her a strong sense of curiosity.
Obviously looking far too far into it, but some faint parallels can be drawn in the sense of humanity poking their nose and meddling in things that would be better left untouched. The link of brothers between Archer/David and Atlas/Prometheus is noticeable, too. Thought it was interesting, anyhow.

As for everything else - more deaths than I am used to because of the way that enemies did not come in from just one place but came in from various spots and of course unfamiliarity with the terrain and not knowing where to go to take cover. Some nice touches of humour especially the Monty Python Holy Grail moment with the Mech with its arms shot off. Would have been better with some more banter from squadmates (surely there were lines that could have been reused if nothing else). The lava crossing was annoying though until the trick for doing was mastered at least the last save point wasnt too far back and not a complete restart of the mission but still lack of a save feature while in the HH is something that BW NEEDS to remedy. Nice music that fit well into the atmosphere for the mission and a nice buildup at the end to the final reveal.
In the end I give this a B-. Its a good effort but some of the flaws in it especially the HH ones have already been pointed out and should have been fixed.

If I recall correctly, the omni-tool includes a neural interface to project information into the user's visual field. That's essentially all David was doing after Shepard was separated from the rest of his squad.jkashx wrote...
I thought Overlord was pretty fun but it got me to think of a question. Can Shepard be hacked like the geth?
The tricky part was him "overriding" Shepard to get him out the door. A clever AI could have done it by manipulating what he was seeing until he was out the door and it was sealed before the others realized what had happened.
I suppose Shepard has more cybernetics than most as part of the Lazarus project, but they're conveniently adjusted to meet the needs of the plot. The game repeatedly claimed he was re-created 'exactly' as he was until it needs him to have extensive implants.

The Hammerhead still needs some work. Upgrade the armor, give it a health bar, etc. (like others have recommended here). It has great potential to be loads of fun should Bioware keep working on it to use in ME3. It's not a lost cause, but it definitely still needs some tweaks.
The atmosphere of the entire DLC was right on the mark, eerie and creepy, I jumped when the VI shouted at me several times, well done. The fights were well paced and well placed. The end boss was different and challenging, I enjoyed the fight. The music was amazing, I had to tell myself several times to slow down, the music kept spurring me to keep going faster.
Squad banter would have been an epic plus, but I fully understand that you can't get all the VAs back for something like that. It was great to see cut scenes of my squadmates doing things while I spoke with Archer or their reactions at several points.
The ending was just the right punch in the emotional gut. First Kasumi and now Overlord, makes me drool in anticipation for more DLC of this caliber (and for ME3).

The good:
- Good story, the ending was specially brave on Bioware's part.
- Graphics are getting better, surprised me a few times.
- Very good atmosphere, even with a nuke in my back I felt disquiet and in danger.
- Music was epic and new themes were composed, nice.
- Exploration is back (but the Hammerhead needs A LOT of polishing, see below)
Room for improvement:
- The Hammerhead seriously needs a rapid fire gun and shields, also I'm not feeling the platforming.
- Geth, again? ok, the story revolves around the and it makes sense but at least a new Geth type, or some variations or something would be welcome.
The bad:
- No party banter.Really, not even a word...I have literally seen N7 missions with more dialogue than this.
This is a serious immersion breaker here, I mean, I know it's very hard to get twelve voice actors together just to record a few lines, but it was maddening, Legion, Tali and Miranda had to have something to say however you look at it and Mordin and Jacob in a lesser level, the other characters, well, not necessarily but having zombie followers doesn't help much.I mean, not even re-used lines? c'mon Bioware, I love your games, I like the DLC and I really appreciate the effort you're putting into this but that one point must definitely be covered.
