Why would we decide that ousting an unknown group, or a giant gas cloud with unknown resource value be a good idea though?

I don't know but I'd rather have the weapon and not need it than need it and not have it. I'd be more comfortable knowing that if the geth ever became a problem that we could easily defeat them.

To quote Jacob: Bullets can. (On Legion)

The geth even in the unlikely case of going to war would start the rest of the races against them since they are unknown boogey men. Sadly they would lose against the entire galaxy against them.

That would be a crude method of achieving victory. There is no reason to settle for a bloody war when we could achieve victory without firing a single shot. The geth would become an asset, an extension of our own military and infrastructure.

Oh please. David's middle name is probably Skynet. We should be able to blow the base up, Salvation style, bottom up.

And to those who may berate me for enjoying Terminator Salvation, I can't help it suffers from SPRS.

Sadly geth are very wiley and able to adapt we may gain control over them, but even the Quarians who created them undervalue their intelligence to their own doom.

Also you sound like Admiral Xen, yeash even Koris I could stand but holy hell Xen just grates.

I freed him. No amount of "For the greater good" logic could get me to leave him.

Anything
beyond Terminator 2 is just crappy fan-fiction.

Admiral Xen is an intelligent woman. Hopefully we aren't forced to kill her.

You mean the lady hell bent on cheesing off a sentient race of machines more than capable of turning on whoever wants to try to fight them?

Geth arent pushovers, I would perfer them on my side then as a ticking bomb in my back pocket as it were.

I'd prefer them as an exploitable tool.

I would have freed him even if I hadn't reprogrammed the Heretics already.

Fine, have fun shoving tubes down an autistic kid's throat.
Because that's what you enjoy.

And I stand by my assertion that Terminator Salvation was pretty good. It was without a doubt one of the best filmed movies I've seen. Stunning cinematography.

The cinematography might be good, but it's still a bad film.

They are not a sentient race,
they are computer programs.

I agree bad acting and to much action focus ruined it.

Terminators are scary since they are impossible to kill, not because they are cannon fodder.

Youre brain runs on the same processes as a computer, its carbon based rather than silicon based.

Also define sentient and what falls in and out of it.

Terminators are not impossible to kill.
The T-800, or "Arnold" Terminator has been destroyed onscreen twice. I rebuke your statement on the grounds that you have never seen any Terminator.

No, it does not.

Electrical impulses travel through and carry signals that decide to turn processes on or off. Which is exactly the same as a computers basic layout.

Also nice comeback try to bring some data before announcing your superiority mate.

Did you notice the sheer amount of firepower it takes to bring one down unless you have really highpowered weapons?

It's all a matter of opinion. If you enjoyed it, it was a good movie. If not, it was a bad movie.
I personally enjoyed it.

Why don't you go read a popular science article or watch a documentary about the human brain?

Geth don't even have brains. They are PURE software. A brain is hardware and humans are combination of both.

In any case i don't feel like having this discussion again. If you want to have this argument then go read the last geth vs quarians thread.
