I usually complain about the lack of original titles and the over reliance on game franchises from most developers. I make an exception with Nintendo though. The news of a new Goldeneye, Kid Icarus, Zelda, and Starfox has made me ecstatic.

The difference is that most sequels tend to get boring as they become more and more familiar. First-party Nintendo games still manage to be great.

Yeah, that is why I couldn't be less excited about Call of Duty black ops.  Even Halo Reach doesn't have me all that excited.  I'm sure it will be a decent game and I'll probably buy it but the formula has gotten stale.

I was actually happy with the change from rail shooter to free roam adventure. They did have a few levels in space if I recall.

Ya I can see all the teens going into puberty playing with the 3D slider for this game if it's true

KH and the 3DS that is actually pretty awesome

Why does this system already sound better than the Wii?

Because the Wii has so far been a disappointment.

true, but with the games announced it sounds great! (and as good as a previous gen console)

Good to see Nintendo taking charge in the portable gaming department

I still rather like the Wii, and if it means anything, their line-up is about to get seriously beefed up. A new Kirby game, a new DONKEY KONG GAME HOLY S*** (made by RETRO STUDIOS), LoZ: Skyward Sword and Other M are all looking great.

Still won't curb my excitement on 3DS though. Right now it's Kirby's Epic Yarn battling a war for my affections against the gloriousness of seeing Star Fox 64 again with completely revamped controls and graphics.

Also I see Dead or Alive and I am hoping that is an actual fighting game but inside I know that it will probably be a stupid and uncomfortable spinoff.

Retro Studios is making the new Donkey Kong Country?

I also see Devil Survivor on that list and I think I saw Strange Journey on another one. Is the 3DS backwards compatible? (If it is then are those just newer versions?)

As I understand it, it's completely compatible with any DS/DSi game.
And my eyes went pretty much immediately to Persona, myself. Very unspecific though, but I expect it's a port of the PSP remake of Persona 1 to the 3DS with some more bells and whistles. Personally, I'm thinking of Persona 3 Portable EVEN BETTER VERSION, because with the 3DS's beefier performance, there would be no compromise of design to fit it on a handheld.

I was going to buy a DSI XL but I think I'll hold off for this one. Looks like I'm going to be playing Dragon Quest IX on my old DS fat that I bought way back in 2004.

Yeah if its just the first Persona ported from PSP I probably wouldn't get it, but if it was Persona 3?  Hell yes I would get that.

I missed half the press conference I was attending my new collage because I am awesome and gradumated high school. But is it actually 3d, or just motion sensitive. Because according to Forbes magazine 3d is motion sensitive.

These remakes look all fine and dandy but I am hoping for some original games. From what I have heard, a Dragon Quest game is in development for the 3DS, I'm hoping it's Dragon Quest X. The Dragon Quest games really have never been about cutting edge graphics technology and sticking to the old really appeals to my sense of nostalgia, Hell I loved Dragon Quest VII even though the graphics looked like about as appealing as broken glass.

Same here, except I was going to buy a regular sized DSi. Supposedly the XL makes some games look extremely pixelated. I'll be sticking with my DS Lite for now.

I'm glad they're actually making some exclusive titles for the 3DS.

The DSi's hardware is apparently more powerful than the regular DS and DS Lite's, but where are the DSi exclusive games? I've never seen one.
