The whole 'Warden vanishing' slide in the Awakening epilogue-
Has anyone stopped to consider that he may have 'vanished' because something ill befell Queen Anora and he no longer had any reason to stay? Maybe he was heartbroken over the death of his beloved queen and couldn't bear to remain in Ferelden....
Wow I like Anora now!

That is actually one of the things that really made me a bit pissed about Awakening. They make it sound like they are going to make a expansion or DA2 with some sort of NWN2 abduction story. Because my Cousland wouldn't ever leave Anora volountarily.

And that is why I reserve the right to completely ignore canon if they don't provide an adequate explanation.Xandurpein wrote...

The only canon I reserve the right to ignore is canon telling me what my character does volountarily in the future. Which does include the end slide for Awakening, until I see proof otherwise.

If I'm told that I disappear within a few years and then the story starts up in an new generation and no one ever hears about what happened to me then I'm not going to acknowledge it. At least Revan had an adequate reason to be out of the picture.Xandurpein wrote...

The only thing I really, really don't like about Anora is the fidgeting. You don't look like a confident ruler while you're playing with your rings, Your Majesty!
It's a trick! It's *always* a trick! I do that if I'm trying to convince someone of my point or if I'm asking for something they normally wouldn't go for. It's turning up the distractingly cute, innocent, I-couldn't-hurt-a-fly factor to appear less threatening. It's a trick, lol.

It could also be that the Warden will return in DA3. I could easily see DA2 being completely sans Grey Warden #1, only to return for the third act.

* I avoid revealing her to Ser Cauthrian, and dealing with that resultant mess.
* I allow Loghain to live, and see his daughter thru different eyes.
But what I wish I could do is to have her travel with us to see the Alienage, Dust Town, the Dalish camp, and other places she has only heard of fromk advisors. Plus, I want to see the stats on her armor and arms....

Since she never fights, I'm sure her armor and weapons are low tier. I always get a kick out of Anora's battle speech. She is in armor, but she doesn't fight. She just talks tough, and sends the guys out to die!

Anora's cameo was my favorite Awakening moment. But just when you thought things were going well... you get to the last slide of your epilogue....
I never married Anora, what happens at the last slide of your awakenings epilogue? Don't leave me in suspense, I will be forced to start a new Origins male noble and play through both just to find out!

First it says that you are greeted as a hero and even Anora can't resist a smile at your return, but then you get what everyone else gets, that after a few years you disappear mysteriously, which is meh.

They better continue the Warden's story in Dragon Age 2, or another expansion pack. I would hate to see the Warden's story end like that, after all the hours we put into our characters.
I'm not sure. I'd rather imagine what happens myself and begin a new character, than have some retarded abduction a la NWN2 so I'm pulled away from Ferelden and all I know there, to avoid dealing with the fact that my character is Prince.
