I usually take either Loghain or Alistair with me and my LI stays behind. Even with metagame knowledge, I just feel it's the right thing to do...

So far only one of my characters has actually finished the game yet - I just keep starting new ones. Although I did play through twice with the same character. Both times then it was Zevran, Alistair, and Wynne. The same people he took everywhere else except for a few specific times.
And Alistair ended up doing the killing both times.

Since I usually play as a warrior, but with different specs, my party consists of Alistair/Loghain, Morrigan and Leliana.
I always do the dark ritual so my Warden ends up killing the Archdemon.

Varies with what type of character I'm role playing. But
1) A mage for healing. I only use heal and heal party, so it can be Morrigan or Wynne pending whether or not I did the DR.
2) A rogue who can fix the jammed ballistas. I know - there are other ways to hit the AD when he's at range. But it's annoying.
3) Two world beaters. Sten, Loghain, Alistair, and me are the top 4 just because aesthetically and character wise they are my favorites.

It's different in every game. However, Morrigan is always with me. I usually have Loghain with me too. Actually I'm testing all party members, so the last time I played, my party consisted of Loghain, Morrigan and Dog.
