Well, an American based company at an American based event for a game whose main audience is in North America announcing something related to one of their largest and most popular franchises to a small Eastern European nation doesn't make much sense any way you put it, why announce something to one of the smallest percentages of your market before announcing it to your main audience.
Whose main audience is in North America? Are there figures about how many copies have been sold on every country?

Anyway, this DLC sounds a bit more promising than the other efforts as it expands the story of one of the most interesting characters in the game instead of offering one more hour of hack & slash.

No thanks. I've not bought anything since the Feastday Pack and I've no plans to change that. Yet.
I still can't understand how could so many people buy the Feastday Pack...

I dunno, in that sentence I was talking about EA"s audience in general. Majority of their share holders and revenue are in North America. I don't doubt that most of their sales came from North America though, I doubt Western Europe or Oceania beat out the U.S. and Canada in sales for DA:O.

i'm all for fair and stuff, but are you seriously going to try and make the case that a tiny country outsold a continent? a continent where the publisher's hq is?Kenrae wrote...

This new DLC was recently announced on E3 a it should deal with story behind Leliana's past.
Can't Wait
Edit: Now, it's official
http://social.biowar...4/index/2899778
Assume the role of Leliana, a young bard involved in a criminal ring
that deals in political secrets. Accompanying her mentor Marjolaine on a
high-risk mission, Leliana soon finds herself entangled in a game of
intrigue that she cannot escape with just her beauty, charm, or stealth.
The only way out of this game is to kill or be killed.
For more info, go http://dragonage.bioware.com/addon/
More trash, I see
For heavens sake! Why in the hell doesn't Bioware put out some expansions or DLC that actually continue with our Warden's story (properly) after DA:O. I would assume by the garbage they are releasing they simply will continue to make a mockery out of DA:O and will continue to release utter rubbish. That's just brilliant

That tiny country happens to be part of the EU which is a common market that is twice as big as the US. There is hardly any evidence to suggest that EA and Bioware enjoy higher sales in America than in Europe.bzombo wrote...

I'm looking forward to this one. A prequel might not continue the story of our Wardens, but provides backstory for our companions. I know I've complained about recent DlC (FeastDay, DC) but this one sounds quite good.
And yes, for fans of the other chars., I'm totally down with the idea for doing prequels for the others, whether it be Zevran or Shale. Let's not get into wars over which one they decided to do first; nothing rules out that they might do others.
As for those complaining about no patch while releasing DlC -- and I was in your ranks -- they've said they're working on it.
I'm getting this one come July 6th. Thanks Bioware for again releasing something that appeals to your traditional fanbase.

Yep, this is just the ticket. More backstory on Leliana should be very interesting, as well as giving us a glimpse of Orlais. And since it uses only one of the main actors, it's cost effective as well, making it more likely that we might see these for all the characters. Me, I want to know what Alistair was doing in the Bannorn during Awakening.Sarkus wrote...
Yay! This is the kind of DLC I've been hoping for - something that adds to the main story in a meaningful way.

I'll tell you what, instead of making you look like a fool for be completely wrong I'll give you a chance to retract your statement. Or if you prefer I'll glady post the evidence you say is hardly there.

I highly doubt it, like I said in the official thread I don't see them revealing Orlais, one of the more talked about and anticipated places, through a simple DLC. I don't see them spending much time creating a completely new area for a DLC and the fact it's not listed as a feature also helps dismiss the idea. My guess is it's either back in Ferelden or some generic unnamed Orlesian place close to Ferelden. But there is no chance we see Val Royeaux or the likes.

Just because you don't like the idea doesn't mean it isn't worth doing for those that do; there is that mysterious DA related release scheduled for February 2011 that may well be something you might want.
